Continued!

When we walked outside we were shocked. There had been a change in the air. It was odd.

On August 4, 2010, in Disney World, I was not hot at all!!!!

It was seriously perfect weather. It was maybe 80 degrees, and was so nice. Finally, we could admire all the lovely details we heard the World Showcase had…we’d only heard about them. Humidity clouds your brain

We went straight to the WS. We walked around and mom and dad wanted to stay in England and watch Off Kilter, who they really liked! Jess and I decided to see as much as we could so we started walking!

We walked back towards England when we passed China. Also, we photo-stalked these British guys!
176.jpg

Mom and Dad, meanwhile had met Pooh and Tigger. They look so happy, I love it.
Photo0165.jpg

Tigger tried to steal my mom :rotfl:
Photo0167.jpg

Photo0168.jpg

Photo0169.jpg

Poor guy

They also got PP somewhere :confused3 It’s nice, wherever it is!
Photo0170.jpg

Anyway, they texted us around 8:25, because people were starting to file in for Illuminations. We watched Illuminations once, but we didn’t really like it :confused3 We liked it, but felt that it wasn’t worth the hassle of trying to get out and staying out late for. We weren’t staying for Illuminations that night either, and we didn’t want to get trapped in the WS by all the people staking out their spots.

So we headed out of EPCOT…

I love this picture :cloud9
167.jpg

I attempted to take pictures of SE at night, but most came out really blurry
178.jpg

I’m proud of this one though!
185.jpg

We made it to the bus stop and were about to sit down, but the bus came! Yay! We were tired, but it was an AWESOME day! Even as Disney days go, this was especially good! We just had a bunch of fun and it was perfect!

When we came into AKL’s gift shop (we would enter through there since it was closer to the bus stops) there was a CM who evidently loved her job. As we walked in, she yelled “Welcome Home! Welcome Home!” and was clapping and just happy! It was such a lovely welcome and a great way to end the day.

We went to our room and relaxed for a bit, but we were too tired to stay up too late. Also, Dad and I had a goal for tomorrow: Ride RNRC as MUCH as POSSIBLE! Would we do it??

Thursday was a bit different. It’s become a tradition that while mom and Jess go back to AK for a second day, Dad and I go back to DHS. It just works out better for all of us and this day was one of my favorite days ever. Disney days are the best days, but this was even as especially good Disney day! It didn’t start out that way, but it turned out amazing.

While we were having breakfast, we got a call from our neighbor who explained that our home phone wasn’t working, and neither was my grandma’s cell phone (who lives with us). We got it sorted out, but it delayed my mom and Jess. As a result, my dad and I were at the bus stop before them, and a bus came in less than a minute!

We had to stop at Blizzard Beach before going to DHS, but we got to DHS about 20 minutes before rope drop. We would’ve liked to be earlier, but it was all right!

189.jpg

190.jpg

We were let in and waited for the preshow.
191.jpg

Ahhhh palm trees! :cloud9
192.jpg

As we had to watch the stupid pre-show, we realized how far we were from the front. Definitely not as close as we were on the first DHS day. We hoped that we would be fast enough to RNRC for a short wait!

We were let down Sunset Blvd and I took some quick walking pictures.
194.jpg

We went into the RNRC courtyard
197.jpg

We stopped to get FPs first even though we normally ride first. Now we were pleased because it was a walk-on. HOWEVER, when we got into the alley, we saw that the line wasn’t moving at all. Turned out the harnesses weren’t lifting, so they couldn’t let anyone ride yet. We had to wait in the alley for twenty minutes :( When we got off the ride, the wait time was already 50 minutes!

We settled for a pair of fastpasses with a return time that was pretty soon. We decided to go to Star Tours to cheer ourselves up. Usually we go on RNRC and ST as many times as we possibly can. The CMs by ST tend to know us by name by the end of the day

On our way to ST, we took some photopass!
Photo0182.jpg

Photo0186.jpg

I like this one!
Photo0188.jpg

So we went on ST (we are SOSOSO excited for the new version!) and it was fine. We also went to see Muppets, which, although not quite a headliner, I don’t think anyone can go a day in DHS without seeing it

We browsed some shops (even though we are the most indecisive people we know and wouldn’t buy anything) and then went to the Animation Building to kill time before we could get more Fastpasses, and also because my dad into art and drawing and all that jazz.

He liked these concept drawings for Rapunzel’s hair for Tangled, which wasn’t out yet. I just saw it a few weeks ago and LOVED it! So cute!
210.jpg

209.jpg

Here was the view after we walked out of the Animation Building (I, for one, love the hat as DHS’s symbol!)
208.jpg

We felt like we needed more RNRC and our time to get more FPs was up! So we headed back down Sunset Blvd and got more Fps…but they were already for 5! UGH it was looking like I wouldn’t be getting much RNRC today (oh…but stay tuned… ;) )

We started heading for Sci-Fi for our lunch ADR, sad that we didn’t get to ride RNRC much so far.

We took these pictures, since we love the Middle. I’m pretty much exactly like Sue (the daughter) so it’s a bit frightening to watch haha
206.jpg

207.jpg

We made it to Sci-Fi (I think this entrance looks like the one to TSM, but it’s Sci-Fi’s)
214.jpg

Now when we sat down, our waitress explained what we could get with the DDP and such, and she mentioned we could get milkshakes as our drinks. I couldn’t imagine enjoying it with a full meal, but my dad decided to take advantage of the deal and got the Oreo one. When it came he convinced me to try it, and I fell in love with it  It was seriously amazing, so I got one too! As a result, I didn’t eat much of my meal, but it was worth it for that Oreo milkshake!
215.jpg

216.jpg

After lunch, we were refreshed and full…and ready for RNRC  We had our fastpasses ready from earlier that day, so we went down Sunset Boulevard!
195.jpg

We were ready with our fastpasses, but we noticed the single riders line for the first time. What an interesting concept…I wonder if we’d like it…While thinking this, we were ushered into G-Force Records!
202.jpg

204.jpg

HAHA I love the pre-show video for RNRC, so weird. Anyway we went on RNRC and of course loved it! But we really wanted to go on again, so we decided to try the Single Riders’ Line to see if we liked it.

OMG THIS IS FANTASTIC. At 2:00 at a very crowded DHS, we were able to get on RNRC in twenty minutes!! Sure we were split up, but we ended up in the same limo! It was great!

Since we realized that we wouldn’t want to use FPs for RNRC anymore, since we had single riders, we decided to get a pair of FPs for ToT since we liked it so much on Sunday!

Then…we went back to ride RNRC single riders’ line!
198.jpg

The line was a bit longer than the last time, but still only about a half hour.

After our three RNRC rides in a row, we were ready for a bit of a rest. We went to the Animation Bluilding again because we like to do the drawings of characters.

We stopped for Photopass again! I think these came out cute!
Photo0195.jpg

Photo0198.jpg

We had to look “serious”
Photo0202.jpg

And this was while the PP person was making fun of me because I couldn’t hold a straight face

Continued soon!

Stumbled across your TR and am joining in! Seems like your family had a lot of fun :) Can't wait to hear more.

I have really enjoyed your TR. Thanks for posting :thumbsup2 Looks like you all had a great time.

I have really enjoyed your TR. Thanks for posting :thumbsup2 Looks like you all had a great time.

Yes, we really did! I'm glad you're enjoying the report! I've always thought about doing one, and even though it's late, I'm proud that I'm about to finish one! Thanks for reading!!

Continued!

When we went to the Animation Building, we got Eeyore. Mine actually turned it pretty good! My dad’s always comes out good, but I was proud of mine!

We had to get popcorn because DHS has the best popcorn, we’re convinced. And we have to get said popcorn from a specific stand, which is in front of the hat, a bit ahead of the wait times board. I don’t care what anyone says, that stand has the best popcorn on Earth :rotfl:

It was during the Block Party Parade, so it was crowded but it was cool to see some of it. We’re not really big parade people :confused3 Maybe it would different if it was a heat index of 105 degrees every time we’re there

We wanted to sit and have our popcorn/water but we ended up trekking all over to Backlot Express. It’s ok, we were in a great mood since we had Single Riders’ :woohoo:

After popcorn, we went to One Man’s Dream. It always reminds me of Kingdom Keepers and I always study that desk for the pens

Then it was time to use RNRC fastpasses we had gotten after our first ride (when the harnesses weren’t working).
213.jpg

YAYY RNRC! Still my favorite never gets old! After using our fastpasses we went on Single Rider! Here’s a picture of the single rider line (you’re right next to the fastpass line)
217.jpg

After this we were all ready for another Single Riders, but the ride broke down :( So we looked in the shops on Sunset Blvd until it was up and running again. Then it was ready! We went through the Single riders line, even though our fastpasses for 5 would’ve been faster.
220.jpg

We were ready for our ToT fastpasses after this, since we wanted to save our RNRC fastpasses for our very last ride on RNRC (we wanted to sit together)
227.jpg

ToT was fun, but still not even close to RNRC! Now it was time for our last ride on RNRC of the trip :( I made sure to take some pictures
230.jpg

228.jpg

One of my favorite places in the world
222.jpg

We decided we had to wait for the front row for our last ride. Dad also decided to do something special for the ride photo  FOOT!
224.jpg

So that was it. I wouldn’t ride again until next year. We had broken our record of how many RNRC rides in one day though…there was 8 today! That made 13 total in two days! It was awesome!

After our last ride it was 7 and we were feeling pretty wiped out. We were also missing mom and Jess. We decided to go back to AKL for dinner since they had gone back already (AK closes at 7). So we headed back down Sunset Blvd
233.jpg

234.jpg

We stopped under the hat to get pins as a present for mom and Jess. I don’t have pictures but we picked out a Mickey one that Jess had been wanting and for mom we chose one that had Goofy and Donald as tourists in front of the Partners statue.

Then it was time to leave DHS :(
236.jpg

237.jpg

241.jpg

242.jpg

We got to the bus stop and the bus took a surprising fifteen minutes to get to us. Must have just left when we got there.

We had an awesome day. It was action-packed and just fun. We had laughed a lot and gotten on RNRC a LOT. We were pretty proud of our RNRC feat because it was BUSY. ToT had 100 minute waits almost all day and RNRC did too. TSM had two hour plus waits! But we were able to have SO much fun and we were really happy!

We got back to AKL and went to Mara. Jess and mom had just eaten, but they were kind enough to have ordered us flatbreads. YUM FLATBREADS. We had fun comparing stories of the day. We enjoyed the resort for the night and went to bed. We needed to rest up because sadly tomorrow was our last day, but we wanted to enjoy it the best we could!

Last day begins soon :(

When we got up Friday, we were dismayed to see the envelope of doom on our doorknob :( That was sad, but we knew we had a whole day ahead of us still!

We enjoyed this humidity-filled view of our balcony
249.jpg

250.jpg

I took some pictures of the lobby
251.jpg

253.jpg

We got ready, but we were a little slow for our goal of getting on the first bus to MK. But we got on the bus at 8:17. AND for anyone who has heard that AKL is too far from MK, we got to MK at 8:34. Only 17 minutes! So there :rotfl:

258.jpg

Got Photopass while waiting
Photo0214.jpg

261.jpg

We watched the pre-show!
264.jpg

267.jpg

Here’s a video

Then we were let in!
269.jpg

The characters were walking along with all of us so that was cool!
271.jpg

272.jpg

Now after the picture of Aladdin was taken, Prince Naveen and Princess Tiana were next to us. Jess had forgotten to bring her birthday button that morning, but Prince Naveen turned to her, held out his hand and said..

“Happy Birthday, Princess.”

WE WERE FREAKING OUT. How in the world could he know that we were celebrating Jess’s birthday?? It was serious Disney magic. We couldn’t believe it, but there was no mistaking that he was talking to Jess specifically and he said “Happy Birthday.” It was amazing.

Here’s a picture right after it happened, complete with Jess’s smile haha!
273.jpg

276.jpg

We went straight to Splash Mountain, since Jess likes it again
278.jpg

279.jpg

We got fastpasses first and then we all rode stand-by. Here was our ride photo!
281.jpg

We rode Splash again after that! Then we went on BTMRR, which was great of course.

Continued very soon! :goodvibes

After that, mom and I wanted to do something we had never really done before :Tom Sawyer’s Island!
282.jpg

285.jpg

We went in all the caves!
286.jpg

287.jpg

294.jpg

Some other photos
288.jpg

291.jpg

295.jpg

We didn’t find any paintbrushes, but it was interesting to go I suppose. I had never really explored the area, so it was nice to finally do that :thumbsup2

We took the raft back to the rest of Frontierland
296.jpg

After being outside in the heat for so long, we were pretty wiped out. So we went to CHH and got a couple of drinks. We had a conversation with the CMs there, since we were the only customers at the time. Since we told them we’re from NJ, they replied with the inevitable question of “What do you think of ‘Jersey Shore?’ “ I think it’s ridiculous but it really doesn’t bother me. I don’t watch it, but I really don’t care haha

We took our drinks upstairs of CHH
297.jpg

302.jpg

300.jpg

We saw the Keys to the Kingdom tour! My mom and I are going on this in August, but we didn’t know it then. But I still pictures of the tour because I thought it was cool!
303.jpg

After chilling out for a bit we browsed through Fantasyland stores
306.jpg

310.jpg

312.jpg

Took this picture of the castle. How artsy of me!
307.jpg

Continued Soon...

Continued!

I think we went to PhilharMagic too. We went on the carousel, which I’m sorry, it will always be
Cinderella’s Carousel to me! :goodvibes: I got Cinderella’s horse!!
316.jpg

323.jpg

Some pictures of Fantsyland from the carousel
317.jpg

318.jpg

319.jpg

321.jpg

After the carousel we got a text from dad and Jess, who had gone to Tomorrowland. They were ready for lunch, and so were we. They wanted to go to Pinnochio’s Haus, so we headed there to meet them! The food was ok, we ate in our little upstairs alcove :goodvibes:

After lunch, we went to Space Mountain to use the Fastpasses that Dad and Jess had gotten for us
324.jpg

Here’s Dad’s ride photo :rotfl:
327.jpg

After Space Mountain, we walked to Toontown to take the train to Frontierland, since we had Splash Mountain fastpasses!
338.jpg

339.jpg

We had a great ride on Splash Mountain! Next we all had water because it was, of course, VERY hot! Then we took the train to Main Street since we wanted to rest at the resort for a bit.

Now the previous picture was taken walking to the bus stop at 2:04, and our bus pulled up at 2:07!
357.jpg

Continued soon!

we were dismayed to see the envelope of doom on our doorknob
:lmao: it's official. I will now be referring to the check out envelop as the envelope of doom from now on.

You will love the Keys to the Kingdom Tour. I went on the tour in 2009 and thought it was amazing. Be sure to ask your CM to point out all the Hidden Mickeys on the rides you go on. They know some good ones you'd never find without them!

HAHA envelope of doom. They're so sad. Thanks for your KTTK tip! We'll be sure to ask! I'm just so excited for the tour; it's something interesting and different and I'm sure it'll be lots of fun! Thanks for reading again! :goodvibes

Made it back to AKL

383.jpg

Too cool! After packing up for a little more, Jess and I headed to the pool. We FINALLY had some time to swim without thunder ruining it! We had a lot of fun, it’s a really nice pool. At around 5, mom came to get us to get ready for our night.

At 5:46, we were headed out!

Then we took a right and headed into Tomorrowland. We had Space Mountain fastpasses to use!

402.jpg

Little did I know that the previous picture would be the last I would take on my camera.

Yes, my bag dropped out of the train. I was in the front and neglected to loop the strings around my legs. As we went down the first hill (all the way on the top) I felt the bag drop. I was TERRIFIED that it would land on the tracks and hurt someone. PLUS I was terrified that my phone and camera, both of which were in there, were broken. It was a BIG drop. Because of all this, I wasn’t able to enjoy my last ride at Disney :( I was immediately upset.

As soon as the ride ended I told my mom and dad and sister. We had to meet with the Space Mountain supervisor who said that they scan every ride every night after the park closes and could send the bag back to our resort. However, we were leaving the next day, so we had to fill out a bunch of paperwork to have it sent back to us. I was really upset and really sorry that I had forgotten to tie the bag around me.

Plus, let’s face it, who doesn’t want to throw a complete tantrum on the last night of Disney?! I just had an excuse to! :rotfl:

Anyway, we went to City Hall on Main Street and had to fill out paperwork with our address and description of the bag and its contents. They said to have our cell phones on for as long as we could, since they would call us the next day.

We went into the Main Street Confectionary next and I believe Jess and I each picked out something. I know I got milk chocolate pretzel clusters, which were AMAZING.

After that, we wanted to see if we could get in a little early for our 8:15 ADR at ‘Ohana, so we went on the nice boat (which is very different from the TERRIBLE boat, which is from DHS) to the Polynesian.

I love the Poly. I need to stay there one day. Seriously. Just for like a night. But I need to. I love it.

We didn’t end up getting into ‘Ohana much earlier than our reservation, but that was ok. By dinner, I was happy again. However, I was a bit insane. This is why we have quite a few of unattractive ‘Ohana pictures of me. Which I share against my good judgment, because I’ve spent too much time typing without pictures.

Hot towels amuse me, apparently.
DISNEY326.jpg

So do lei’s
DISNEY330.jpg

‘Ohana champ, right here.
DISNEY331.jpg

DISNEY332.jpg

DISNEY333.jpg

Love her
DISNEY335.jpg

This was our “cousin” Brandon :lmao:
DISNEY334.jpg

My parents and Jess were given cupcakes for anniversary and birthday, respectively
DISNEY336.jpg

We loved ‘Ohana! It instantly became a tradition for us! We’re going back for our last night this August too, and we can’t wait. It was really one of the best experiences of the trip; it’s just a lot of fun!

After we got out of ‘Ohana, Dad just had to take a picture next to this guy
DISNEY339.jpg

We checked out the shops in the resort
DISNEY340.jpg

Then we walked down to the beach and chilled out in the sand. Even though it wasn’t like watching the fireworks right by the castle, it was still amazing watching them from the Poly. It’s just different being able to sprawl out in the sand without being so close to other people and just enjoy the fireworks. Also, we only waited for maybe fifteen minutes, which is much better than staking out your spot on hot concrete for over an hour! We liked it a lot!
DISNEY341.jpg

DISNEY342.jpg

After the fireworks, we decided that we were too tired to go back for MK EMH. It was the perfect ending to the trip, so we were good with that! We headed back to the boat that goes to the MK. Then we went to the AKL bus stop. The bus of course came quickly, but we had to stand. The bus arrived at AKL at exactly 11:30.

We went back to the room and were too tired to stay up much. We packed up some more and went to sleep. And that was the end of our last full day at Disney World for 2010 :(

Continued with the very last day and final thoughts soon...
