Hobos in Wonderland! Updated 5/30--The Final Update :(

At the end of our TOT ride, it was already time for our RNRC fastpasses! So we went on that for the third time today…and got another pair of fastpasses!

After that mom and Jess asked us to meet them in the Animation Building. Before this, they had been on TSM and gotten Fastpasses for that. Also,
Jess had met…
Photo0041.jpg

Photo0045.jpg

Before we went to the Animation Building, we stopped for a Photopass!
Photo0056.jpg

I liked this picture! The photographer asked us to “look scared and wave your arms” but I only heard “wave your arms!” Oh well I like it!
Photo0059.jpg

At the Animation Building, Jess and I went to meet Lotso. The waiting area for Lotso is sooo cute!
Disney1288.jpg

Disney1290.jpg

Then it was our turn to meet the strawberry-scented, huggable, though evil, teddy bear!
Photo0069.jpg

Photo0073.jpg

Photo0077.jpg

Aww Lotso…why did you have to be evil :(

After this, mom and Jess went to go use their TSM Fastpasses and asked us to go get some for all of us since we’d all be eligible for more in fifteen minutes or so. We were hoping for an early return time, but we knew TSM wasn’t known for good Fastpass opportunities! Dad and I looked around the art store for a while then we went towards TSM
Disney1292.jpg

Disney1293.jpg

We ended up getting Fastpasses for the four of us for 5:25. It was a little late in the day, but it was only eleven in the morning, so we knew we were lucky to even have them!

Dad and I went to see if we could ride Star Tours before mom and Jess were finished. We got sidetracked though, because we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to meet…
Disney1295.jpg

Darth Maul! He was really cool! Very in character. No talking, just glares

We were just about to go on Star Tours when mom texted us that they were done. We didn’t mind; we were hungry and we would just ride ST after lunch!

For lunch, we decided on..
Disney1301.jpg

Hey Buzz!
Disney1303.jpg

We got a table upstairs (are there tables downstairs? :confused3 ) near the table. It was meh pizza but it was fine! I mean, it’s the only indoors, air-conditioned counter service in that park that I can think of. Of course I’m going to eat there in the middle of the day on August 1!

After lunch, we went to Star Tours…no we did not get sick :rotfl:

I told you he liked Star Wars.
Disney1299.jpg

He was even wearing his special Star Wars shirt!

After our flight to Endor, we went to see MuppetVision!
Disney1306.jpg

It was cute! That show is really cute!!

After that, it was almost time for the 1:00 American Idol Experience! We headed over to the building and went into the shaded area. Let me tell you, that shade and those fans were MUCH appreciated! It was especially hot that day.

After only a few minutes of waiting outside, we were ushered into the theater. The “host” came out and did his thing and then the show started. We had three girls as contestants. The first was good; she wasn’t spectacular, but she wasn’t bad either. The second sang “Colors of the Wind,” and had no emotion. Hmm.

Then the third came up and she was AWESOME. She ended up winning; I remember her name was Pamela Rose. She could really do well on American Idol, but I do’t know is she got the Dream Ticket later that day or not. We really enjoyed the AI Experience!

After that, Jess and I split from mom and dad and went to the GMR.
Disney1310.jpg

We also got the cowboy side! We had always gotten the gangster before, so it was a cool change!
Disney1312.jpg

Continued Soon!

I am loving this trip report and all the pictures! You and your family are awesome and I can tell how much fun you are having together. :thumbsup2

AWWW thank you soo much!! :flower3: We really did have a lot of fun! Thank you for reading!!

Continued from last post! :woohoo:

When we came out of GMR, we were pretty tired and very hot. So we went to Starring Rolls. Jess got a candy apple and I just got water.

Disney1314.jpg

Disney1313.jpg

She loved her candy apple
Disney1315.jpg

Disney1318.jpg

We also saw this person :confused3
Disney1317.jpg

After sitting for a while, we were ready to keep moving! We went to Voyage of the Little Mermaid. It was really cute…and air-conditioned :cloud9 Perfect!

After VotLM, we decided to hang around the Animation Building since it was right there.

We did the personality tests…Jess was first
Disney1325.jpg

Disney1329.jpg

HAHAHAHA poor Jess! I was next
Disney1332.jpg

These things are rigged! I’m convinced!

After goofing around on those voice-over things, we met up with mom and dad and decided to head for the boat to the BC.

We got some photopass on the way
Photo0061.jpg

Photo0092.jpg

Photo0079.jpg

We had an ADR for Cape May Café and were getting hungry. It was a long day! The boat ride was gross. We didn’t get a seat and were crammed into the boat with too many people. Did I mention it was REALLY hot that day??

So the boat ride to BC was less than enjoyable :headache:

We got to the BC and took a seat in the lobby. Cape May Café wasn’t ready for dinner yet, so we hung around. We were happy we got there when we did, because it started to rain. Then it started to POUR.

I don’t know if you can see it, but here are some pictures of the rain
Disney1338.jpg

Disney1340.jpg

It was really bad. The worst part is that we were planning on staying through Fantasmic! But now we knew it was a slim chance. This was definitely NOT a normal Florida thunderstorm. This was lasting rain.
We were called into Cape May Café pretty soon and got seated at the tables next to the BC hallway.

Disney1345.jpg

It was really cold in the restaurant! I’m not sure why exactly, but I was really glad my mom had a sweater in the backpack!

Jess and my dad were really happy to be back! :rotfl2: This is their favorite restaurant!
DISNEY157.jpg

Discussing the day
Disney1349.jpg

Love my sister!
Disney1353.jpg

Dad got bored and started drawing a yeti
Disney1359.jpg

Disney1360.jpg

After dinner we noticed it was still POURING, so we knew a bus would go to the BC to take us back to DHS. We still had TSM and two pairs of RNRC fastpasses to use!
Disney1362.jpg

As we were waiting for a bus, this kid came off a MK bus and ran towards the lobby. As he was running he screamed “WE’RE GONNA DIEEEEEEEEE!!!!!” and just as he said that thunder crashed around us :lmao: It made us laugh for a while.

Finally a VERY crowded bus came. I really don’t understand why the Epcot resorts don’t have separate busses. I love the theme and such, but probably wouldn’t stay at any of them because of the transportation. I can’t take that boat every day!

When we got to DHS, we headed to TSM right away in the pouring rain! This is why there’s no pictures, sorry! I couldn’t risk a broken camera!

It was fun! Jess finally beat me! She was really excited; I didn’t mind, I’m not very competitive.

After TSM, dad and I went to RNRC to use our two pairs of fastpasses. Very fun, of course!

As we were walking out, we noticed that there was a huuuuuge line for Fantasmic! Even though it was still a thunderstorm? We wanted to get out of the park before they announced it was canceled! The rain continued all night, so the show did not happen.

When we were at the bus stop, the bus came right away! Like I took a picture walking to the bus stop thirty seconds before a picture of the bus.

That’s how fast! YAYYY AKL busses!
Disney1366.jpg

We met Buzz on this trip. He was just retired from teaching and was celebrating with his wife. He was obviously drunk, but he was really fun and nice! His wife was nice too, even though she was a bit embarrassed by him. It was a great bus ride! He made us laugh a lot. :goodvibes

When we made it back to AKL, we just chilled around in the room. Then we went to sleep. It was a long, hot, but great day once again!

Awesome trip report! We passed on ToT last year but this year we plan to ride it, if I am not a scardy cat:sad2: RnRC was DS favorite ride as well.

Awesome trip report! We passed on ToT last year but this year we plan to ride it, if I am not a scardy cat:sad2: RnRC was DS favorite ride as well.

Oh, thank you!! Go on ToT, even if you don't like it (like I did at first) it's still worth a try :thumbsup2 RNRC is amazing, have to agree haha! Thanks for reading! :goodvibes

We woke up on Monday morning and headed out to start our AK day!

We saw the flamingoes by the pool first, since mom wanted to fill up her refillable mug.
Disney1372.jpg

That was for anyone who wondered about the selection of sodas at Mara

After that, we went to the Rocking Chair Outlook to see the sunrise :)
Disney1367.jpg

We went down to Arusha Rock to see what animals were around. There were usually some pelicans, warthogs, and other birds.
Disney1370.jpg

Disney1368.jpg

After seeing those cute little warthogs (they really were adorable!) we went back to Mara to get breakfast. We brought it back to the room so everyone could share, and then we got ready. After we were prepared for our AK day, we went down to the bus stop. Just as we were about to sit down, the AK bus came! I loooooove you AKL transportation!!

Anyway, it was only about a five minute ride to AK and we were soon at the entrance!
Disney1373.jpg

We stopped for some PP!
Photo0093.jpg

Photo0096.jpg

Photo0097.jpg

Then we made our way to the turnstiles. We were there before opening, so we had to wait for a bit, but the lines weren’t long at all.
Disney1374.jpg

Disney1375.jpg

Soon enough we were let in to await the opening show. I don’t understand why they degraded the opening show :confused3 Why isn’t Mickey rising above us all on a forklift in front of the Tree of Life?? :rotfl

Disney1376.jpg

They released us cattle
Disney1377.jpg

And we went straight to EE!
Disney1378.jpg

Jess and I rode together and we got Row 4!
Disney1380.jpg

We all got Fastpasses after our first ride. Then we went on again! We got Row 4 again!
This mask makes me laugh every time I see it :rotfl
Disney1383.jpg

After our second ride, mom and dad wanted to take a quick break from the madness of the yeti. HAHAHA break? When there’s a ten minute wait?? Yeah, Jess and I were having none of this “break” that you speak of!

So we got on line again…and got Row 4 :lmao
Disney1382.jpg

By this time it was only 9:30 :woohoo: Three rides of EE in thirty minutes!

Continued next post (too many pictures)

Continued from last post

Our parents texted us to meet them at the safari so we went there. It was about this time that I realized I didn’t have much space left on my memory card, so I tried to not take as many pictures. These are from my mom’s camera.

Little Red is safe!!
DISNEY049.jpg

After our safari, mom wasn’t feeling well :( My dad wanted to stay with her, so they got some drinks and sought out air-conditioning. They gave Jess and me a pair of fastpasses for EE, so we headed there.

We got some PP too!
Photo0098.jpg

Then we went to EE. While we were getting in the line, Jess looked up at the “mountain” and said, referring to the first BIG hill that you go up, “Wow, it would really stink if anyone got stuck up there.” I agreed with her. I knew both of us are quite afraid of heights and would not do well if that happened!

Well, we get up to the platform, and sadly do not get Row 4 :( We got Row 10 instead.

We embark on our train ride through the Himalayans and start going up that biiiiig hill. OF course it feels like it’s slowing down, but when does it not :laughing

But I soon realized that this was certainly not the regular speed.

The train was slowing down. We were almost to the top, but it was definitely slowing down.

Then it stopped. :scared1

Jess freaked out immediately. Like a scream and tears right away. I felt really bad because she was really scared. I was too, but I managed to keep very calm to help Jess. We were stuck for about a minute or two, but that was a minute or two too long!

Does anyone know if there are railings on the stairs that lead down from there? I noticed none of them, and that would be a SCARY trip down :scared1

After the train started moving again, Jess was okay. I even got her to put her arms up!
Disney1384.jpg

After our horrifying experience on EE  We needed to calm ourselves down.

So we went to Dinoland and grabbed a couple of drinks. We wandered into the big gift shop in Dinoland and chilled in there while browsing the stuff. We weren’t loitering though! We made a purchase once our parents met us there! We got Disney Apples to Apples, which is a bunch of fun! Jess and I have these friends that we always play Apples to Apples with, and they are also obsessed with Disney, so this was perfect!

We headed to Restaurantasaurus. I remember I felt pretty sick for a while, but it soon passed.

After lunch, we wanted to get in line for the 1:00 Finding Nemo show. On our way we saw these guys going to some meeting location
Disney1390.jpg

We got in line for the show. When we were let in to the theatre, we saw that most of the bottom half had been filled up except for the very first row. Last time we had been to Disney, we had gotten the front row and LOVED it. Dad asked the CM if we could have the front row and she said YES! :woohoo:
Some people say you can’t see as much from the front, but I love being that close. It really immerses you in the show! We love it!

Disney1391.jpg

I also thought that the cast was even better, although they were mostly the same cast! They’ve really improved and I loved the show even more!

Stay tuned for more! :goodvibes

Continued!

After the show, it was time for some EE fastpasses!

Did you think that I would let one little horrifying experience keep me from a roller coaster? HAHA that’s a big no!
So my dad and I wandered to EE (Jess has been scarred :( ) and I told him I wasn’t sitting in the back this time, since I sat in the back when we got stuck. Well, when we got to the platform, the CM told us we would be in the back row.

I looked nervously at my dad, who tried to get me to move past it, but he understood that I was still pretty scared to go on. So he told the CM, who moved us to…

ROW 4!!!!! :lmao Which was, of course, my favorite from that day. I had ridden in Row 4 four times that day haha! And the one time I didn’t…well…let’s not talk about that

After EE, we were ready for a rest. Our plan was to go to the pool, since we’d been rained and thundered out last time. Also, we had night EMH at AK that night, so we needed to save some energy!

Took this picture on the way back from EE
Disney1393.jpg

We got glorious Disney popcorn on the way out :cloud9 Jess bought a little Simba stuffed animal, seen here haha
006.jpg

When we got to the AKL bus stop, a bus was waiting there. It was the first crowded bus of the trip, and we had to stand. But this was the fourth day and this was the only time so far we had to stand! AKL transportation WOOHOO!

We went to the room and I got a new memory card so I could take more pictures! Then I took some pictures
Disney1398.jpg

Disney1397.jpg

001.jpg

003.jpg

We headed down to the pool and jumped in for a while.

Then thunder came :headache: And we needed to leave…again. Wah.

I consoled myself with taking pictures of the lobby.
Disney1396.jpg

Disney1395.jpg

Oh well! We had an ADR at Boma soon so we had to ready eventually!

When we headed down to Boma we struck up a conversation with our hostess, Brenda. I can’t remember what country she was from but she was sooo nice! She gave us two cards—one for Jess’s birthday, and one for my mom and dad’s anniversary. The cards were signed by ALL the Boma CMs, and in all their native languages! Really cool!

Apparently, I felt the African strip loin was so good that I needed to write down how good it was  But everything at Boma was pretty good in general!

I also wrote that when we were discussing our plans for the night to come, Jess’s hand spazzed and she accidently threw some of her drink at my mom…we all just thought it was the funniest thing, including my mom! :rotfl It didn’t make a mess, it was just strange hahaha

Continued soon! :goodvibes

Just wanted to join in and say I love your trip report! You have so many great photos and detail!

Also, we love AKL as well. And, that boat to the BC/YC/Epcot is brutal! We were there last summer and there was NO air on it. Can't wait to hear more of your trip!

Thank you soo much for your kind words and for jumping in! I was beginning to think I was alone again :rotfl: YAYY AKL haha! I hope I don't bore you with all my praise of it! Yes, they need to fix that boat ride, how did you survive last summer?? Thanks for reading!!

Continued from last post :goodvibes

After dinner, we went straight to the bus stop to go to AK. It had night EMH that night until 10 o’clock. Also, we still had two EE fastpasses and two Dinosaur fastpasses that we needed to use before the park “closed” at seven. And it was about six!

Being that AKL busses are great (how many times have I said that??) the bus was waiting for us again! We hopped on and were soon at AK. Dad and I went straight to EE for our last two fastpasses.

Yes, we got Row 4 :rotfl Seriously, we did. It was great!

Right after that, we went to Dinosaur since mom and Jess were all the way across the park and we were a few minutes before EMH started when we couldn’t use the fastpasses anymore.

We rode Dinosaur and I liked it better than last time, but it’s still not my favorite…I could take it or leave it, honestly. :confused3

Dad and I took these pictures outside!
023.jpg

024.jpg

After Dinosaur, it was almost time for the ultra-VIP 8 o’clock FOTLK show!

We wandered over to Camp Minnie-Mickey
025.jpg

We waited for Jess and my mom, since they went on the last safari on the day. They said that they didn’t notice any difference between afternoon/morning/evening safaris. They came in and we got seats near the entrance. I don’t remember what animal section we were, but my best guess is the Warthog section!

028.jpg

030.jpg

027.jpg

029.jpg

We didn’t know what to do after that…so we went to It’s Tough to Be a Bug.
036.jpg

We love this show. Well, not so much the show, as we love to watch the freak-outs. It sounds mean, but it’s hilarious, I’m sorry. We decided to sit in the back like cool cats and sing our favorite song (WE’RE POLLINATORRRRSSS!!), while watching unsuspecting tourists squirm.

Our love for ITTBAB began a few years ago with one specific show, in which one child was totally unaware of the horror that awaited them. It was all fun and buggy until the dreaded Hopper dropped in. The screaming began.

“I HAAATE YOU GRASSHOPPER!!!!!!”

It was pretty bad. Then the big bug came in and ate it or whatever and we were treated to rejoicing from the same child.

“AH! I LOOOVE YOU IGUANAAA! I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE YOU IGUANAAAA!!!!”

Since then, ITTBAB has become an event for our family. I’m so sorry if this was your child.

Anyway, after our experience  I decided to try and take some blurry pictures of the Tree of Life at night
033.jpg

037.jpg

Jess and mom were pretty done. They were tired AND it happened to be the night of the finale of the Bachelorette. Sorry, Ali, I was in Disney! Plus, we all knew you were going to pick Roberto, let’s be honest. :rotfl:

I was walking with Dad now and I wanted to see what Primeval Whirl’s wait was, since I didn’t get to ride it at all.
038.jpg

It was maybe like 40 minutes, but that line was too long for that ride. Then we went to see EE’s wait. It was about an hour, and we weren’t feeling like waiting since it was after 9 anyway, so we wouldn’t get on.
041.jpg

Then we just walked around, soaking everything in at night. We walked past Kali River Rapids, and went to see what the wait was. At this point, we weren’t really planning on riding anything, we were just there for atmosphere. But KRR said 20 minutes, which wasn’t that bad. I still wanted to check if the wait time was true, since I didn’t want to end up waiting a lot more. Well, lo and behold, the CM said it was actually a walk-on! In less than five minutes, we were on the ride!

I made the mistake of not putting my sneakers in the hold in the middle. We got so soaked! Like every single opportunity to get water, we got it! It was DRENCHING. My sneakers were wet for a full 24 hours after! But it was a lot of fun, especially since it was a walk-on!

After KRR, we were tired, so we dripped to the bus stop  and ended up on one of the few crowded buses the entire trip. It was all right though, since we were so wet that we wanted to stand. We made it back in a few minutes and ended up in the room for the final reveal of Ali’s choice!

We went to sleep right away. And it was another. Perfect. Day.

On Tuesday, we woke up especially early and got a quick breakfast. We had an ADR at 8 at 1900 Park Fare, and the busses started running at 7 (it was MK EMH) so we needed to be out the door very soon! Thankfully, we were at the bus stop right at 7 and the first bus was waiting there! :woohoo:

We were dropped off at MK and took the monorail to the GF. We made it to 1900 PF right on time and were let in! We usually don’t do breakfasts, but Jess REALLY likes Alice in Wonderland, and NEEDED to see the Mad Hatter

She was happy, I promise :rotfl Jess just isn’t a morning person
046.jpg

Breakfast was pretty good! Characters were flighty, but I think it was us  I don’t know, maybe they’re afraid that us teenagers may litter or something. :confused3 It was fine though!

(Thanks Tigger for coming right after I started eating  )
DISNEY072.jpg

We met Mary Poppins!
DISNEY078.jpg

And then…the main event came (for Jess anyway haha)
047.jpg

DISNEY080.jpg

He was being a bit too loud, so Mary had to talk with him :rotfl:
DISNEY081.jpg

We also saw Alice, but we don’t have any good pictures

After the characters all came by, our waitress surprised Jess with a HUGE cupcake and two tablemats with all the characters’ signatures! Jess also got ‘Happy Birthday’ sang to her!

048.jpg

DISNEY082.jpg

We still use the tablemats at home!

After breakfast, we were ready for a full day of MK! :thumbsup2

Continued soon!

Continued from last post! :goodvibes

Lobby of GF…gorgeous!
051.jpg

(After this point, I don’t have many pictures of the day, but I’ll try not to be boring!)

We hopped on the monorail and arrived at the MK at about 9:10…not bad! It was still pretty crowded since it was open since 8 though.
053.jpg

Ahhhhh…. :cloud9
054.jpg

We went straight to Splash Moutain for fastpasses. Then we went on BTMRR. It was very fun!

After BTMRR, we did Haunted Mansion. Then we went to PhilharMagic.

Then my mom and I went on a Space Mtn. Fastpass run. I began to not feel well at this point. I was just very tired, and very warm. We went on the TTA, and I’m not sure where Dad and Jess went :confused3 We met up with them after the TTA and went on the Carousel of Progress. Normally, I love this show, but I ended up sleeping :(

After CoP, we went to the Laugh Floor!
055.jpg

056.jpg

We liked it! We especially liked “Sam ‘n Ella” they were really cute!

Once we left the Laugh Floor, we were ready for lunch. We headed to Cosmic Ray’s since it was closest. And we reminded ourselves of why we never go here normally :rotfl: It is just TOO crowded! The food was meh, the people were crazy, and it was not a relaxing experience haha! Sorry to any Cosmic Ray’s lovers, but it’s just not for us :confused3

After our lunch, we went to get another group of Space Mtn. fastpasses. Then we walked to Splash Mountain. Yes, we just walked all the way across MK! And this would not be the last time we did this :headache: I kind of regret how we did this day. It was very hot, and I think we were all catching up with our increased walking but decrease in sleep  We duly noted that we were not entirely happy by the end of the day, and we are not doing it again this way :thumbsup2

Here’s a picture of the Fantasyland wall from our walk to Splash Mtn! I am SO excited for it!
057.jpg

Here’s a picture of the construction on Winnie the Pooh’s queue
059.jpg

Anyway, we made it to Splash Mountain to use our Fastpasses!
061.jpg

I LOVE the line for Splash!
062.jpg

Now here’s the thing about Splash Mountain. On our 2004 trip to Disney, we ALL LOVED it! It was by far our favorite ride, as a family. Jess loved it especially, and she continued to through the next trip. However, by our trip in 2007, Jess was scared of it and didn’t want to ride :confused3 She wasn’t sure why, and neither were we, but she really didn’t want to go on it. We managed to get her on the ride once in 2007, and twice in 2008, but she hated it. She only went on because she didn’t want to inconvenience us. After the skipped trip in 2009, we weren’t holding out hope that Jess would love Splash Mountain, but we persuaded her to go on for her “one time” that we all go on.

Here was her face when I asked her if she was excited hehe Sorry Jess
064.jpg

Jess sat with me, and we were going along. I asked her if she was all right, because she hadn’t said anything. She looked at me and said, with total surprise, “I think I actually like it again.” After she said that she felt ok to enjoy the ride, and she LOVED it! I was so happy that she had her favorite ride back, since now Everest scarred her

Anyway, we got SOAKED on Splash Mountain! We had never really gotten that wet, but it was very good on a very hot day!

Back again to catch up! I really love all your family pictures, they are so cute. Hopefully you were able to catch up on some sleep!

Back again to catch up! I really love all your family pictures, they are so cute. Hopefully you were able to catch up on some sleep!

Aw thanks! :flower3: Yeah I was in much better spirits by the afternoon, but the morning was not fun and neither was all the unnecessary walking! It was Disney though, so still not bad! Thanks for reading!

Continuedd!

After Splash, we went to POTC, where two kids behind us believed they were about to ride the “Pirates of the Europeans.” Not quite, children, about a thousand mile difference

After POTC, we had a break across from Swiss Family Robinson. My dad and I got restless and we went to Swiss Family Robinson. I was feeling much better than I did in the morning, by the way :thumbsup2

066.jpg

068.jpg

We always end up going through the Treehouse, but we end up not liking it every time

(After this point, there really aren’t many pictures. Sorry!)

After the Treehouse, we went to Country Bears Jamboree, and my dad, being the wonderful person he is, went to Splash Mountain to get Fastpasses WOOHOO!! We love CBJ, and this was no exemption!

Then, because we weren’t tired and hot enough as we were  , we walked across the park to use our Space Mtn Fastpasses. If the walk wasn’t enough, when we got there, we saw that they were turning people away due to "technical difficulties” GRRR! I mean, let’s be honest, it wasn’t as frustrating as it would be if we were anywhere else since we were in Disney, but it was frustrating nonetheless.

To calm ourselves down, we went on the TTA, which we love! It was nice to relax, and while we were riding, we saw that SM was open again! :woohoo: We got off of TTA and used our fastpasses for Space Mountain, and it was FUN!

After Space Mountain, we were just about done with MK. We were tired and wanted to rest, but we couldn’t bring ourselves to leave without using the rest of our fastpasses. :confused3

So, feeling BLAH, we decided to share some ice cream in Pinnochio’s Haus. (We bought the ice cream from Mrs. Pott’s ice cream and brought it to Pinnochio’s) This is when we found the peaceful upstairs alcove. We just sat up there alone, and people watched while talking and resting. We also found that you could open the little door and go out onto the balcony. We could see the progress on Fantasyland from up there, even though it was just dirt at that point.

After our break, we felt rejuvenated enough to…walk back all the way to Space Mountain. Grr  But we had to use those FPs!

And then. We walked. Back to Splash Mountain. How smart of us  Also, I may want to mention that since my sneakers were wet from Kali River Rapids the night before, I had been wearing flip flops all day. It was pretty terrible haha! But I lived! And it was still Disney!

Anyway, we went back to Splash Mountain and I once again asked Jess if she was excited. Here was her face from the first time

And here was her response this time!

That’s more like it :thumbsup2

Here’s some more Splash Mountain, because apparently, I only felt moved to take pictures of Splash Mountain today :confused3

Coming back after the ride

We didn’t get as wet as before, but it was still fun! Here’s our cheap ride photo

After Splash Mountain we were DONE. It was about 6:30, so we had been out of our room for almost twelve hours! It was time for AKL! We took the train back to Main Street (Thank goodness!) and headed out to the bus stop.

The AKL bus showed up within a minute :rotfl: I literally laughed out loud at how awesome the transportation is! I was very happy that I was heading back to the happy place that is Animal Kingdom Lodge!
When we got back, our parents got Jess and me flatbreads from Mara because they are AMAZING. My parents, I mean. The flatbreads were amazing too :rotfl: Seriously though, I love those flatbreads.

Our parents went on a date night to Victoria Falls, which is near Boma for those who don’t know AKL.

Here’s a picture of our view at night…well…the view of what my camera could capture

Parents came back later and then we all went to sleep. :) Overall, I know I complained a lot, but it was a fun day, really!

More pictures for the next days! I promise! :thumbsup2

It was an early morning on Wednesday, since Typhoon Lagoon opened at 8. But we still had time to go see Arusha Rock in the morning.

We also saw the funny walking pelicans

I don’t have a water camera, so I don’t have any pictures from TL. We made it to TL by 8:07 and went straight to Crush ‘n Gusher. We rode five times in a row! Then I went with dad to try Humunga Kowabunga. I didn’t really like it. It hurt haha.

After that I went with mom and we rode Keelhaul Falls and Mayday Falls. We both agreed that they were boring  We then went to the wave pool and met up with dad and Jess. I went on the Lazy River with dad and it was great! We went back to the wave pool, but figured out that Jess and my mom must have moved on so we went to find them. We found them by Crush ‘n Gusher and I chilled with Jess for a while.

We went to lunch at Leaning Palms. It was fine except for THE ATTACK OF THE BIRDS. It was terrible. They didn’t really bother us much, but others were being terrorized.

After lunch we went on the lazy river all together. It was only about 12, but it was crowded already and we were almost done with the waterpark. We always go to the waterparks at least once on our trips, but we never spend a full day there.

During the lazy river, we discussed our plans for our evening at EPCOT. We had an ADR for Biergarten, but we discovered that none of us were really into it :confused3 So we decided that we would try calling WDWDINE and see what was available instead :thumbsup2

After our laaaaaazy river ride, we gathered up our stuff from the locker and headed out to the bus stop. We had to wait for a bus for a bit, but didn’t mind because we called WDWDINE. Mom was lucky enough to get Coral Reef at a good time, which was what we were hoping for!

The bus came while mom was getting the confirmation number, so we didn’t have to wait too long for a bus evidently. We stopped in the gift shop at AKL to pick up our Apples 2 Apples game that we had shipped back to the resort on Monday. It was about 1 at this point.

We were tired, so we slept a bit in the room. Jess and I wanted to trade with King Pin, which was an event at 3:00. The family all started to get ready again at around 2. Jess and I started towards the lobby at 2:30 because we didn’t want to be late  We delayed ourselves by taking pictures of the lobby.

King Pin came out at 3:00. For those of you who don’t know, King Pin is a CM who has many pins displayed on a bag and a mystery bag with other pins. You can make two trades. Jess and I both picked to trade for one pin that we can see and one mystery trade.

Here’s King Pin!

Here are my pins—the first was the mystery pin and the second was my seen pin

Here are Jess’s pins—first seen then her mystery. Her mystery pin was funny because Jess had gotten that Vinylmation on our first night

Trading with King Pin was very fun and a unique experience

Now at this point, we were wondering where our parents were :confused3 Turns out, the giraffe had come back! I was sad that I didn’t get to see him again, but I really needed to trade with King Pin :rotfl: Also, mom and dad had stopped for Photopass in the lobby.

Continued soon!

Continued!

After they met up with us we went to the bus stop. We showed mom and dad our pins while we were waiting for the EPCOT bus. The bus actually took a while, but not too long.
We got to EPCOT!

116.jpg

We had gotten ourselves all made up and beautiful-like so we of course were looking for PP!

After getting Photopass, we went in search of Character Connection. We got in line, which was long, but we hoped that it would move fast. It was moving verrryy slow, so we decided to use our EPCOT time for more fun!

So we headed to Captain EO, the epitome of fun

Here’s an ominous picture of the Imagination Pavilion :rotfl: I do not remember the clouds being so scary

123.jpg

Yeah, Captain EO was weird. I loved the inept elephant. I don’t remember his name. Wasn’t it Pooter or something? Whatever, it was weird  HOWEVER, it’s still better than Honey, I Shrunk the Audience. In which we had a lady scream “AHHH A SNAAAAKE! A SNAAAAAKE!!!” It was pretty amazing, not going to lie.

ANYWAY, after Captain EO, we headed to the Living Seas.

124.jpg

We entered through the ride…which I’m still not a fan of
127.jpg

Jess and I gravitated towards the manatees. We love them. We talked to the CM and everything about those precious manatees. Apparently, Lou (the bigger one) likes to put his mouth on Jasper (the smaller one) for no other reason than to annoy him  We loved it.

Here’s some miscellaneous Living Seas pictures

After the Living Seas, we went to Coral Reef for dinner. We were on an upper level, so not a great view of the tanks, but good enough! We had been here before, but hadn’t been too impressed. We were glad we went back! It was very nice and classy! I really liked the Chocolate Wave! Jess got the Wave too and they added this!

I don’t think Jess liked it as much as I did…I seem to remember that she mooched on my dad’s dessert
