I always swore I wouldnt go to WDW over the holidays between the possibility of cold and the insane crowds. But after seeing some holiday pictures, buying APs, and DH forgetting my birthday last year and needing to make it up to me(its the 28th), we are giving it a shot. Im not worried about crowds, I know it will be a mob scene but we were just there and will go again next summer so I dont feel the need to do everyithing...just the holiday stuff. The cold scares me, but hey, its got to be warmer than MA(hopefully).
So, we will be at the Swan Dec 20-24, then checking in at the Poly on the 24th and leaving the 29th.

We break in a room at Pop Century for a week starting opening day! We arrive on 12/14/03 and leave 12/21/03. I can't wait. We are doing MVMCP on 12/14 and 12/19. Mickey

DH, DS10, DD6, and I will begin our journey to the World on December 17th, driving from Dallas. We'll be at the WL from the 18-27, MVMCP on the 19th, CP on Christmas Eve.

This is our first trip in December, can't wait to see all the decorations and feel the magic at the most magical time of year!

We will be there from 12/11-12/15. This is our first time ever being down at WDW in Decemeber. I can not wait to see everything & the MVMCP & the Candle Processional

We will be staying at the Poly, our first time for a stay there too. I can't wait. I am so excited!!!

YES!! My best friend and I will be checking into the Swan on the 27th. It will be her 40th birthday and we've talked about coming to WDW on our 40th birthdays for years. We're feeling a Little guilty about leaving the husbands and kids at home! lol
but, looking forward to spending as much time as we want in World Showcase without the kids saying,"When are we going to MK?" HaHa

I've never been at this time of the year! We can't Wait!!!

Me, DH and 2 DD's (9&5) will be at the Poly 12/18-12/23. We love this time of year at Disney and passed up going end of March beginning of April for a longer stay to go during Christmas season.

Doing MVMCP on the 18th.

It's so nice to finally be in the double digits though!

My 5 kids and I are driving down and checking in at the Poly GV concierge 12/21-12/27; dh flying down to join us on 12/27 and then we check into a 2 bdrm villa at Wyndham Palms until 1/2; then Vistana Resort 2 bdrm villa til 1/6; then 2 rooms at the Dolphin til 1/10; finally our last week will be at Orange Lake Country Club-2 bdrm villa til we drive home on 1/17. Whew! Hope to meet some of you there!

I'd like to extend an early Happy Holidays! to all my fellow Disney Fans out there!

Your excitement is infectious, and now I can't stop thinking about our first Christmas trip ever to Disney! We were originally flying in on Friday, 12/19 after the kids got out of school, but then I found out that's the last day for MVMCP and so we changed our flight to 12/18!! Can't miss out on a chance to sniff those ginerbread men... I hope they are still part of the parade!

I have a few questions:

1. For those of you who have been to Disney during this time of year, what can we expect for weather? Should we just pack long pants and sweatshirts or will we have warm "days" and need shorts and t-shirts? Do you think the kids will be able to swim or go to Blizzard Beach?

2. Which days do you think will be MOST crowded? Any strategy tips here?

3. If my DH and I want to do something 'adults only' for New Year's Eve, will the various kids clubs stay open past midnight?

4. Is there still a car rental agency located in Downtown Disney? I haven't been able to find any info on this.

Thanks so much to all of you for your many wonderful posts! We'll be staying at the Pop Century 12/18 to 12/24 then we're checking into the Poly Concierge for 8 nights!
