As I told you in last report despite the empty park I had been persuaded to do the magic hours - so an early start today up at 7 to shower and head for breakfast before arrival at park gates for 8am! While in the bathroom there were some excited shrieks from Olivia - when she pulled back the curtains all she could see was white - it had snowed! Agh I thought will the outdoor rides be open am I mad getting up at this hour to find we probably wont get into the parks - panic averted when I looked out and saw how lovely it all looked and that there were people out and about.
Headed for breakfast and guess who arrived today - Pluto he was just soo cute playing about and following Olivia everytime she moved to the buffet - he helped her carry her breakfast to the table and then sat beside her - truely magical. no sooner had Pluto left when Minnie arrived and because there was noone else in the lounge we had great fun with her. Breakfast was amazing as usual ate our fill and headed back to the room. Could not resist taking a photo out the window (see photo link in Day 2).
As we were leaving the hotel, staff were already busy clearing paths for walkers to navigate. It stopped snowing as we arrived at the park. Again very few people about so we managed to do all of Fantasyland and Dicovery Land before it was time for lunch - we had booked the Blue Lagoon and were so looking forward to it. We asked for a lakeside table and were thrilled to get one - it is just magical sitting watching the pirate boats go by while you eat. Oliivia chose the Kids menu coconut chicken and I had prawns for starters and the curry chicken dish. we sat back for a long wait for our food - when it did arrive it was delicious and we felt worth the wait. We both had creme brulee for desert again this was yummy. Even though it was not especially busy we had a long wait for our food and in between courses - it would be great if they could speed up the service a bit!
After lunch it was time to hit the Studios as we wanted to watch stars and cars parade - again used the advice from this site and got a good place to stand which gave us a great view of the show and the characters stopped to see us and sign autographs - see picture on day 2 - Olivia was thrilled when mulan stopped by to chat. After the parade we did some more rides all but Crush a walkon and stayon as long as you like - Crush was only a 10 minute wait so we could not resist riding it another 3 times - happy days lol!
We headed back to Fantasyland as Olivia still had not had her fill of Dumbo and friends! As we started down Main Street we were thrilled to come across a bevy of characters with noone with them - we got some great photos and autographs - even when some people arrived they formed orderly q's no q jumping at all. there was a horrible moment when a woman with a cigerette put her arm aroud Daisy and the CM went mad - could not blame her as the cigerette was on daisy's dress - the woman got cross and could not understand why the cm was cross
I have to say I felt sorry for her kids as they had to put up with cigerette in thier faces too. After a lovely time in the park we headed back to the hotel and were delighted to find some waffles left from afternoon tea had them with a hot chocolate each - yum yum
We were heading for Annettes tonight and were really looking forward to it! Got to have a little snooze befor a quick freshenup and change of clothes.
Annettes was not too busy and we got a table after just a few minutes - we love the food here! The staff were as pleasant as on our last trip lots of smiles and chat - only one waitress on rollerskates though! Food was hot and yummy I had the classic burger with mushrooms and avacado - delicious and a strawberry milkshake yummy. Oliva had nuggets and a cherry coke.
