Day 2 Tuesday 9th November

Up at 7am
We had our usual breakfast cereals and tea / milk in our room.

We packed up the car parked at the HNY and went straight to the park for EMH we got there around 8:10 so not to bad. The park was empty.

It was drizzling so we went straight to Buzz via the arcade and had 3 goes in the trot as it was a walk on. DH wanted to go on SM2 so I took the kids on Buzz for another go. The drizzle had gone so we wrapped up warm and all had a couple of goes on Orbitron. One more ride of Buzz and off to Fantasyland via the Castle Bridge which looked good. First it was Pinocchio 2 goes then Peter Pan 4 goes. Tea Cups 2 goes.

I looked at my watch it was almost time for rope drop so we went to Fontierland for BTM. Hopefully DS would be tall enough to ride. When we got there rope drop had already happened, my watch have been slow so we went straight to BTM which was not working so we went to PM. DS and DD kept asking what this ride was called so we said, “The Manor”. It was a walk on. DS and DD really enjoyed it and asked to go in again. They liked the bit were the room got longer also the ghosts on the ride.

It was now 10:30 so we went back to the HNY they even let us have the breakfast on the Empire Floor. It was only us another family. Our favourites were bacon, scrambled eggs, sausages, followed by pancakes with strawberry’s and syrup and yogurt to finish. Washed down with Juice, hot chocolate and aptimail (which DD kept calling caramel) this became brunch and was our main meal over the day and we finished around 11:30. The kids liked to take a box of Frosties to munch on later in the park.

There was a massive queue at check in so we checked in at the Empire Floor desk. Our room was ready we was told we could have tea / supper on the Empire Floor between 4-6 each day, but we were staying on floor 4 not 6. We went straight to our room to drop off some clothes as we had dressed for really cold, but it was quite warm. The room was lovely 2 double beds and twin sinks in the bathroom we had bathrobes and slippers. The best think was when we looked out of the window we had a lake view we were just over the Christmas tree and ice rink. Fingers crossed the fireworks would be on tonight and we could watch them out of our window.

Kids got changed from there snow suites Emily wanted to dress up as Ariel and James decided to be Buzz.

We went to the studios for the first time.

We went to Monsters Scream first to meet Sully. Got a sticker and had a scream in the things.

Cars was walk on so we did this twice then did Magic Carpet ride.

Buzz was doing a meet and greets and was very happy to see James as Buzz he got lots of hugs and they both were having fun doing the Buzz to infinity pose!

We to Toy Story land. I though it looked great loved the theming queued for Slinky dog for 10mins DS liked the ride, but I though it could have been so much better. Started to queue for parachute ride but it started raining. Have noticed as soon as the rain starts they close the Parachute ride as apparently is become slippery and dangerous. So we had another go on Cars.

1:45 Watched SAC from the back of the stage as it was drizzling it was just a ride round rather then the show, but James got big waves and kisses from Woody and Jessie when saw he was Buzz and Emily the same from Ariel.
Decided to go back to the main park did Buzz again, IASW then wondered around Alice’s Maze moved on to Peter Pan and Pinocchio then past the Castle via the Dragon. Went into Adventure Land had a go on POC decided to go to Fontierland to see how busy Father Christmas was, but the queue looked long as was not moving. We did bump into Woody who was pleased to see James as Buzz.

5pm watched the OUAD parade Emily decided she was going to blow all the princess's a kiss and most of the princesses blow her one back.

Went back to HNY for tea / supper on the Empire floor. Had toast and jam, rolls, cakes, yogurt hot choc cookies and sweets.

Back to the Main Park the tree and castle was already lit up and Tinker was sprinkling pixie dust over the castle magical.

Had another go of Buzz then found a seat near the castle stage ready for Fantiluision? It was almost empty because of the rain, but we did not care as the kids now had there snow suits on and us our umbrellas. Fantiluision was great, I just love that music.

On the way our Father Christmas was standing at main street station waving and singing Christmas songs the tree and castle was lit up, the decorations on main street it all look so magical. Most people had left so we took lots of pictures

When we got back to our room we had 4 choc coins left on the bed and there was 2 dogs from the film Bolt DD and DS were very excited.

Had time to have a shower and got changed in to PJs. We watched the Fireworks out of our window and had a great view then DH and I had a pot noodle another early night.

we did not do it this time, but have done it last year and I don't think it's worth the wait. the queues are big as it takes a long time to go round and load / unload. Just don't queue too long or you may be dissapointed.
