Well my mom called me yesterday, and during our convorsation, she mentioned that someone at work said she would like Tool. Personally I dunno if she would. I mean, she might, but it's hard to say wether or not she'll like a band. I think Tool is a touch too "In your face" for her.
Just to give you guys a little bit of reference, she likes stuff like 3 Doors Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Van Halen, The Eagles, Kid Rock...
But she also said she's trying to expand her music liking or something like that. So now I'm sitting here trying to figure out some bands she would like. My list so far includes....

Franz Ferdinand
The All-American Rejects
Velvet Revolver
Some Trapt
Nickelback
Some Saliva (songs like Always and Your Disease)
