I understood the OP to mean that they would be paying $150 more for their tickets if they went with AP instead of MYW tickets, not as a total purchase price.

In January, the discount on packages last year was a free upgrade to park hopping and water park fun and more.

It also included a small room discount, not just the free park hopper and free water parks and more options. I used the code and saved much more than the park hopper amount that I had already included in the package. I think that I read that the discount was about 15 percent, but don't quote me. I remember the dollar amount that I saved, but not the exact savings on the room.
