I can't decide on if I should bring my Canon Powershot SX20 IS with me on my trip...With the trip coming up close I still keep going back and forth between yes and no.

This is the camera here:

I am for sure bringing my Fuji Film Waterproof camera because I love having it for the water rides and the portability...but I love photography and REALLY want to take some good shots with my good camera. Even if I only use the camera for one day of photography

This is the waterproof camera:

Anyways...PICK FOR ME hahaha. Should I bring it? Or no?? It is kinda heavy and I already have my backpack packed with my 13.3" Macbook Pro, my iPad, my iPhone, my little camera and then maybe the big camera...I could always leave the iPad at home haha

How many days are you spending in the park? I like to bring both and alternate depending on the day.

8 days, I was thinking of using the first and the last days as perfect days to lug it around the park

Yeah, that is totally long enough to justify bringing both. Maybe take one whole day to use the larger camera? Take it and leave it in the room if you find you're not using it. I think if you leave it at home, you'll end up regretting it. I would anyway. :)

Very true lol, especially because I can't make up my mind. So might as well bring it!

I agree, I would take both! I usually bring my rebel and my small canon (cant think of the name right now..but its small and silver lol) I uually take the rebel 1 day and the rest I use the small one..

Bring BOTH! I brought only my digital SLR and it jammed and I ended up missing a number of shots. I was really wishing I had my backup camera.

Honestly, I say bring both. I would kick myself so hard if I left my Nikon at home or at the hotel. You just never know when something you want a really, really great shot of is going to pop up before your eyes, you know? With my last trip, I even told myself that I was going to use my small P&S Kodak for most of the trip and maybe bring my nice camera in with me one day or even alternate. It never worked out that way because I just have to have it with me just in case, but you may want to keep that in mind.

I agree with everyone else. I always bring a 2nd camera and use it when I eat during my visits at DL or WDW. I just don't like to bring out my Nikon D60 camera in front everyone at the restaurants. It is also easy to use when I am in line waiting to get food at the quick counter restaurants. I just use my D60 all the time where every I go in the parks and restaurants. But I like to carry another camera so another one of my group can take pictures.

I always bring my Canon D40 and my "purse" camera on each trip. Sometimes the D40 does not make it with me to the park, depends on my mood. However, we take frequent trips, so I have way too many Disney pics (as if right!?). Anyways, I do find I take a lot more pictures with the smaller camera, but enjoy the SLR quality better.

I have the same Canon! Do you love it??? I like it a lot!

Im definitely bringing mine on our trip. It takes some great pics!

Did you have any problems with it? My one issue.. which I think I resolved but I guess a lot of people ran into it (I googled it, lol) was I would take a picture be able to look at them on the screen and then go back and it would say "image not found" and it was gone forever.. even when I tried to upload them.. they were gone and every review I read about this problem said to purchase an HD memory card..so I did... so far so good! Keeping my fingers crossed!

You are deliberating over cameras and my DH is deliberating over how many lenses to take. I always take my point and shoot and my Flip and DH takes one camera body and one or two lenses.

You know if you don't take it, that one photo op, that one character you never ever see, etc. is just going to magically appear. It always happens, usually right when the batteries die. :lmao:

I have the same camera. I love that I could make all my little movies in HD. I really like my Canon point & shoot, but in no way could it take the kind of pics my sx20is does. Love the zoom lens and the super macro for detail shots.

I'm LOL at your last comment... I buy huge purses and they get so heavy because I walk around with a macbook, ipad and iphone all the time. I work on the go! :)

For your camera dilemma... Take them both, but mostly carry the pink one in your pocket or bag, whatever works so you can still ride and do everything you want at the park. I always carry the smallest point & shoot I can, just so I don't have to worry about it when I ride and I can get those great candid shots too. Most point & shoots today are capable of taking images that are just as good as the more expensive cameras so I don't think it's really necessary to lug around the big guy the whole time you're there.

At some point in your visit, take a few hours and walk around with the SLR and take more staged shots, shots of atmosphere, etc. when you're not busy trying to ride or trying to keep up with others. I usually wait till my kids & husband want to go back to the room for a nap or something and then sneak off to the park for some shopping & photography.
