Hi folks, I know this is kind of far off, but we've already started planning our trip next fall. Does anyone know approximately when Haunted Mansion Holiday and Ghost Galaxy usually open to the public? We are looking at Sept. 21-25 as our likely dates for DLR. Thanks!

Can remember the exact dates but they will be open by then. The last 2 trips we have been there for Sept 11th (our DD's bday) and within that trip they have opened-so at most a few days after that.

They'll be open by the official start date of Halloween Time, if not soft-opened before that date. I doubt that the official start date of Halloween Time will be 9/11 this year, but it could be ether before or after 9/11. In any event, both rides will be up and running by your trip.

It can be hot. Usually comfortable, but if you catch some Santa Ana winds its gonna be a scortcher

More than likely it will be some level of hot. How hot is anyone's guess.

September in SoCal can be a very confused month when it comes to weather, as it can't really decide if it wants to linger in summer or jump into fall! If it is a year in which September 'decides' to be more summery, it can be very, very hot -- in the 100-degree range and above (in 2010, the week of the start of Halloween Time season saw temperatures well over 100 degrees -- in fact, it was something like 118 degrees on one specific day in Anaheim ).

If September decides to be more fall-ish, it can be overcast, in the 70s, and even raining (back in 2007, I was there for the start of Halloween Time and it was pouring rain off and on throughout the day, and when it stopped raining it was hot).

Thanks for the info. Does anyone know how often Fantasmic! is likely to be presented in Sept? Only on weekends? If so, that would include Friday evening?

Assuming the schedule in 2015 is similar to the one in 2014 (and that is a big "if"), F! is presented on Fri, Sat, and Sun (and probably on holiday Mondays). It will not be presented on nights when there is a MHP (assuming MHP stays in DL).
