Cast of characters:
Me (Barb)--Been to WDW once(1979) have very little memories of it, master planner of this trip.
DH (Chris)--Hates to fly, would actually be cheaper to fly SWA from Midway, but refuses to fly (Adoption trip in 2001 to Kazakhstan was more than enough)
DS(Nic-5)--Our first Kaz cutie, will be what ever Prince his sister wants him to be, but prefers to be The Beast.
DD(Lauren-4)--Our second Kaz cutie, who is whatever princess in on her underwear of the day.
Here were are in just over 12 hours we will be hitting the road from WI to WDW. We are taking it slightly slow on the way there. Leaving after DH gets off work tommorrow and driving as far into as IL as we can before we get tired. I plan to get up and take DH to work in the am, so that means an early morning for all of us. Last minute packing, getting Bashie the golden off to the kennel for his week of relaxation, and other odds and ends. Then off to pick up DH at 2pm to hit the road.
The first night we will be staying in IL, Friday night south of Atlanta, and Sat night at POFQ. When we get into the World on Saturday we plan to chill at the pool and unwind from the drive. Maybe also a trip to DTD. I have our BOGO sundae offer, thanks for the tip from this board.
Sunday May 1 we check in early in the am to the WL. I am ready with my request for a queen/bunk bed room. After check in, off to AK for about 5 hours, then back to the hotel, hopefully room will be ready. Unwind at the pool then get ready for 5:10 PS at Chef Mickey's. From here we will either head off to MK or try the EMH at MGM.
Monday May 2, starting off at MGM, back to hotel for rest, dinner at Rose and Crown, and then into MK for spectromagic and wishes.
Tuesday May 3, little prince and princess gets to meet the big princesses at the breakfast in Norway. This was chosen over CRT as there were the rumors that only Cindy and her gang would be at the royal table, and my princess really loves Aurora, Snow White and Belle. Hoping that these ladies will be at PSB that am. Will spend a little time at Epcot, head back to the hotel, then finish the night at MK.
Wednesday May 4, Magic Kingdom, hanging at the hotel, and back to MK for dinner at the castle, and EMH.
Thursday May 5, sleep in a little, check out of WL, and head off to MK until PS at Contemporary Steakhouse at 7pm. After dinner we will head offsite for the night.
Friday May 6, hitting the road for home. Planning on driving halfway at stopping in TN.
Saturday May 7, home sweet home.
We will be on the dining plan, so I am excited to see how it works for us. I have changed our PS many times, including just two nights ago. I had no problem what so ever and got everytime that I wanted.
I have enjoyed reading other's trip reports and hope to post ours when we get home. (That is if I survive the trip, I just might go stir crazy. Hopefully the 32 DVD's that I am bringing will help since I do not plan on playing any more than once.)

We live not too far from the Ill-Wi border. We do this same trip 3-4 times a year. Sometimes DH is with and somethimes not. Over Spring Break, I left in the early evening and drove to Mt. Vernon, the second night drove to Valdosta, Ga., and then into WDW the next day. We usually only do one overnight on the trip down, but this time I tried something different and waited for the kids to come home from school before I left. I really liked leaving at this time. There was little traffic, and since I work the pm shift I'm use to staying up late. It was nice to have most of Illinois out of the way when we woke up the next day, because it is one long state to drive through!! My favorite part of the drive is driving down from the mountains in Tennessee into Chattanoga. The scenery, lakes and mountains are beautiful. There is also a nice reststop there overlooking one of the lakes right off the interstate.
