Hitting the parks before check-in?

Our next trip we are staying off-site for a few days before we hit Disney and DVC. I was planning to hit MK at rope drop on our first day with the kids, while my parents checked in to our DVC and then we would meet up at the Crystal Palace for lunch.

My question is about parking. I planned to drive to MK but since I won't have checked in yet will I have to pay for parking? I really don't want to schlep over to SSR and catch the bus since it will already be an early day. Are there any easy fixes to this that I haven't thought of?

If one of you is an annual pass holder, free theme park parking is one of the perks. If not then I would have one person head to SSR very early just to check in and get a parking pass (don't bring all the luggage) and then go back to get the rest of the group for rope drop. Wish I could think of a better solution. Maybe someone else can.
One other thought: I wonder if anyone has tried paying for parking, saving the receipt and then asking at the front desk at check in if there is someway to be reimbursed?

Show your reservation confirmation to parking attendant they may just wave you through.

Or. pay for parking, save reciept and have the amount credited to your room at the resort.

you can check in at 6:30 am - so if you are staying nearby - maybe you could go get your parking pass - because the others are up.

Thanks all. I think we decided to head over to ssr first and take a bus to mk. I'd forgotten that mk could be a pain with parking. Not sure that we'll checkin though. Hopefully we can park there without a pass at first. Thanks again. Amy
