Hitting my $100pp min spend

I have been sitting looking at my BEO and it doesnt say if I have hit my $100pp min for the whitehall room.

From my calculations I am at about $80pp

Could anyone tell me what the min can compramise of i.e food,alchol,cake

And am I right in pressuming that the children dont have to hit the $100pp min?

Hi!

Food, drinks and cake all count toward your minimum, as do the food and drinks at any other event you have on the wedding day (like a dessert party or a bridesmaids tea). So I'm sure you've hit the $100/pp minimum.

Although you will be charged the adult per-person menu price for children ages 9 and older, you will not be required to meet the $100 per person food and beverage minimum for guests under age 21 because they cannot drink alcohol.

My cake counted. I had to have one because I didn't reach the per person inimums otherwise. I would rather have used that $500 towards a character and didn't even want a cake. And to add insult to injury, I had to throw most of the darn cake away.

Cake counts toward the OVERALL $75/$100 or $100/$120 pp minimums mandated by DFTW no matter where your reception is, but it does not count toward site-specific minimums anywhere but at the Grand Floridian (which doesn't actually have site-specific minimums ) because it is made at the GF.

For example, ours counted toward our $75/pp overall DFTW minimum but not toward the Attic's $1,500 food and beverage minimum. It gets tricky because at most locations (except convention centers) you have 2 minimums you're trying to hit - DFTW's per person minimums and the site's food & beverage minimums.

I'm looking in the latest Wishes wedding guidelines, and under the part about the $75/$100 and $100/$125 overall minimums it says: "Minimum food and beverage expenditure is comprised of food and beverage costs planned on the event day, which may include pre-reception, reception, wedding cake and all alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages."

You know.. I just read my contract and I can't find it. I have no idea where I got this from then! Anyway, the wedding is 34 days out... so its not a big deal! Well, maybe I convinced myself in order to have to fill my minimum, I got a 4 hour open bar. Maybe I just subconsciously did it I don't know, but it doesn't really matter anymore!

Since my daughter is moving her wedding date, we had to look at other reception sites. Both the Napa room at the California Grill and Ariel's were quoted with out the cake. It just may depend on the location of the reception.

Ok just one other thought, this probably sounds so so silly but just want to make sure I have all areas covered.

If I have spent a total of lets say $3000 on the food,alchol,cake,DP so have hit the min location spend of $1500,do they just split the total amount spent $3000 between the adults to calculate how much has been spent or... do I have to make sure that with the cost of food,alchol,DP and cake that each adult comes to $100?

The reason I ask is that I think I have spent about $90pp (on the heavy drinkers) Alot of my guests dont drink so im guessing the alchol consumption will be lower than Disney have estimated so they will probably come in at about $75pp

But with the total price inc the childrens meals(that dont have a min $pp spend) If that was divided by the number of guests then I have hit the $100pp min easily (I have quite a few children attending)

I hope this makes sense, I am confusin myself as writting!!!

I would say that since you are only 1 month and a few days out and your final payment is due soon, DFTW would definitely already have let you know if you weren't going to hit your minimums! As I understand it, as long as you are spending $100 per adult and you are meeting the overall minimum expenditure for your date ($10,000/$15,000/etc.) there is no problem.

Even without knowing the details of your event, using the prices of the cheapest brunch menu, BOC call brands liquor package for 4 hours, cheapest cake and minimum dessert party spend, I calculate $95.40 per person. So I think you're in the clear!
