I don't know if this has already been asked and I apologize if it has but does anyone know of good "readable" books on the history of disneyland? I am not looking for a bunch of pics, but a book to possibly read on the kindle.

If you like Disneyland History, I hope you listen to the Disneyland Podcast. Michael Bowling has done several Disneyland history segments. He has an extensive library of Disney History books. If you send him an email, available on Podcast show notes, I am sure he could recommend several books depending on what aspect of Disneyland history you are interested in.

It's a great day to be alive!!!

Gennawey is, by profession, an urban planner. His book Walt and the Promise of Progress City is a good look at Disneyland through the eyes of an urban planner and how Walt wanted to use lessons learned on The Florida Project (WDW) and "Progress City," his true idea for EPCOT. The book spends a good time on getting Disneyland built, but doesn't, from what I recall, focus much on the daily operations of the new park.
