I can't believe the Hartford to Orlando Ding just came in the same as the internet price? Some prices were higher. Then if you actually went through the process, most flights were unavailable! What's up with that? SW is not on my good list today!!

I was thinking the same thing for the Hartford rates. I checked yesterday and the internet special for when I was going was $99. The ding rates seem a bit high. Maybe because these dates are so much closer?

I'm giving up hope I'm going to find a low Hartford or Westchester flight in September/October on any airline. I'm probably just going to take a $99 flight before they go up!

I REALLY wanted to get away with my DD for her birthday, but $450 for airfare is too much for an additional summer vacation. Last year we had the $49 special. I think they will still have more to come ~ last year I got really great Ding fares out of PVD just several weeks before our trip (late August/early Sept)

How far are you from PVD? They seem to have better rates than Hartford most of the time

We're about 2 to 2 and a half hours from PVD according to Mapquest. I really considered it the other night when the PVD Dings came up, but for me, it would not be fun to come home to a 2 and a half hour drive. Plus, with the ridiculous gas prices there goes the savings! So, I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed or accept that it's not my time to travel>

kmjmom I know what you mean about coming home with the long drive ahead....but we are doing it as the gas price hikes are still saving us tons of money. We live in Toronto (just west of) and we are flying out of Buffalo. But to fly out of TO they want $2300. for 4 of us, I know that is disgusting, but none the less true. We are flying r/t from Buffalo for $486.US which with the exchange rate and gas hike we are still saving a bundle, the drive is not that bad....we go for day shopping sprees not far from the airport so it is way worth it for us. It is about 2hrs. We flew from Detroit last year still worth it with parking for 12 days too!!!

I would consider it if it was a planned trip, but this is an extra vacation just for me and DD. We already have a vacation at the beach scheduled for August. I just thought we could sneak in an extra before school trip(before free dining so the crowds might be smaller!) Have a great trip!

I am so stressed out! I have not seen a Ding to Orlando in a LONG time! Two years ina row we have flown RT from Midway to MCO for @ $110 per person. Now the cheapes I can find on SW is @ $220 per person. And there are 7 of us! What happened to Chicago Dings?

Thank you to EVERYONE who updated these last year! I was trying to take a "guess" at what DINGs we might get for our 2 September trips to figure. So I looked at last years DINGs listed and most good deals were $43-$49! YEAH! Hubby and I need airfare for our trip and then we need airfare for our trip WITH the kids (4 of them) 11 days later! So every penny will count!

I am planning a trip in october....does anyone know if there have been any ding fares out of New Orleans to Orlando in the recent or not so recent past? Looking through this thread I saw that there were some in the fall of 2005 but I could find any from last year. A friend of mine told me that he has been watching for dings out of New Orleans (to anywhere not just Orlando) and hasn't seen any in the past 5 or 6 months. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
