Our last few trips to the World were in Oct, and in March. I recall the mid Oct weather to be in the mid to upper 80s in the AM, going down to 70s at night. Oct crowds were a bit more than I would've liked, but manageable. How does mid Sept compare with weather/crowds? DD will be 23 months then. Are meals and theme park entrance free till 3 years old? I'm mostly concerned with DD in the heat & humidity. Only one of the days in Oct did she get a bit of red in hr cheek area, because she kept pulling her sunhat off. Does anyone have a link to a website that will compare Sept & Oct temps? Agewise, what difference can I expect with DD from her 13 month trip to the 23 month trip? Thanks so much!

click on the link below, it will take to you weather in Orlando in September. It will give you Daily Averages for Orlando, FL (32830) for the year for the Sunrise Sunset Avg. High Avg. Low Mean Record High Record Low
Then click on the drop down box for the month of October and it will give you the same info.

It is much hotter is Sept than Oct. ALL kids are in school everywhere by October, most kids are in school sometime in the first couple of weeks of sept.

September will be hotter and more humid than October, but crowds are likely to be a bit lower. It can also be very WET. In September '02, we had rain at least 4 of 6 days, and it wasn't those 30 minute showers you hear about. We're talking rain that started around 3-4pm and ran though the night. Golf courses were unplayable and we were fortunate to have a washer/dryer in-room as we often changed clothes 3x per day.

Now, I'm certain there are many September days during which it does not rain. But there is a greater likelihood of rain in September than...say...January. September does fall in hurricane season, so you never know what sort of storm fronts might roll-in.

In Orlando, September is a Summer month. Early and Mid-September are just as hot as July.

Fortunately, it is not quite as rainy unless we have a hurricane!

I would say that the October daytime temps are at least 5 degrees cooler and less humid (that's the important factor) than September. The evening temps are usually in the upper 60's - a 10 degree drop from summertime.

Be prepared to take all those cautionary measures recommended to summer visitors.

Crowds will decrease because of children returning to school and fewer conventions.
