Historical Discounts/Attendance Early May

We are going to WDW the first week of May. I am hoping that we will not hit big crowds because spring break is over by then and schools are not out yet. Anyone have any experience with this time of year? Any discounts in previous years that you remember? What about stuff like cheerleading competions, etc. Do you know of anything going on first week of may?

We're going May 2-6 and from everything I can tell, the first week of May is a good time to go. No cheerleading competitions, no grad nights, etc. I'm sure there will be crowds, but nothing to pack in an unusually big number of people.

grad night is usually the last weekend in april and the first weekend in may. it doesn't have a big impact on crowds, but MK will close early on fri and sat of both weekends.
we did that week last year and enjoyed it.
