Historical AP resort discounts

And one thing I found out this past September trip. If you want to book a BB room only package (with the $200 deposit), you can only do it over the phone. If you do it online, you have to pay the one night room/tax. Who knew? I was booking a BB offer for the Grand and the one night room/tax, even with the BB offer, was a lot more money than I wanted tied up for nearly another year. I could not get it to default to the $200 deposit, so I called and the CM told me that it was necessary to call to do the room package with the lower deposit. Plus I made 2 reservations, so it would have been a lot to have paid at one time (I pay off my credit card balance). $400 was a lot easier than over $1500.

You’ve always had to call to book a ticketless package. Declining tickets online has always made it a room only reservation. I always choose room only.

I never realized that, though I don't think I ever really thought about it. I think we were at Disney this past month at the same time, I hope you had a good trip!

Thanks, we did. But I think I’m getting too old for September heat. Which is a shame, our anniversary is then, & I like the cheaper resort rates. Hope you enjoyed your trip as well. And that you got the BBs you wanted.

It can definitely be warm! I do like the heat, and the lower crowd levels! Happy belated anniversary, and yes, we did get the BB's we wanted. Had to play with the dates but it will all work out! And I did enjoy both Beak & Barrel as well as Geo82. I actually liked Geo82 more than I expected to. I thought it would be a one and done for me, but I would absolutely go back.

That’s awesome you’re finally pulling the trigger on passes! I’ve had them for a couple of years, and honestly, they’ve been worth it with how much we go. For resorts, discounts can vary a lot, but with those places, expect around 10-20% off depending on the time of year. AoA suites are usually a bit tricky, but I’ve seen decent savings there. Poly and GF discounts are usually more seasonal, especially if you book early.

If you’re going that often, I think the passes will definitely help you save in the long run, especially with resort stays and park access.
