Ok, I have read the description on wdwinfo and allearsnet, and they both say in may be too intense due the mice, etc. However, there are no real details other than that. I want to see this, but to be honest, I don't know that I can handle it. As an example of what I could not handle - at ITTBAB, I almost had a panic attack when the "bug spray" came into the room. I felt I could not breathe. I did know in advance to sit up to not feel the "bugs" leaving first. I would appreciate your opinions on whether you think I need to skip HISTA or at least some more details to help me decide. Thanks!

I don't think HISTA is as intense as ITTBAB... and the room is MUCH larger.

There are no smoke effects that fill up the room, and nothing comes close to you (i.e., like the spiders dropping from ceiling in Bug).

There are "mice" that run along the floor, and hit your legs/feet... if you picked your feet up then, you'd probably avoid it.

The theater does move when it shrinks and enlarges.

If you're OK with Philharmagic and/or Muppets 4D, I would think you'd be fine at HISTA.

Thank you for the quick response. How will I know when the mice are going to run? It is very obvious?

I have to disagree - a snake "jumps" out of the screen into your face and the mice is just nasty!!!!!

If you are worried - I would put it into your list of things not to do -

I am the type of person that does everything (no fears) but I think it is just creepy!! and I don't go in it!

The snake is a 3D effect so you can close your eyes anytime during the show if you see anything on the film that you will not like to come out at you. The mice are toward the end, so just keep your legs up when you see them put the mouse into the machine that will multiply them. I think I remember this right!

There's a *very* obvious visual cue before the mice start running... and if you sit in the back of the theater, you'll know long before they hit you, as the front of the theater will start shrieking. ;)

The 3D parts of the movie are REALLY good... if you're bothered by 3D things coming at you (flying objects, snake, lion's paw, etc.), you might want to avoid it. But it sounded like you're more concerned with actual physical things in the theater.

The mice part is going to be hard to avoid unless you pull your feet right up onto the seat. They sort of tickle the backs of your legs. :scared1:
Those with shorts on really feel it, but the times I have worn jeans, I hardly noticed it.
Oh yeah, a dog sneezes a big WET sneeze at you. That's kind of nasty!

I think I am going to skip it. I have nightmares about mice being on me, and I do not want to cause one of those while there. I have seen the other 3-D shows, so I will just leave it at that. Thanks for all the comments.

Okay, but just to let you know - you can avoid the mice very easily - and you'll know exactly when they're coming.

Also, I had the same problem on ITTBAB. Yet, I keep going on it. My throat closed up and I couldn't breathe...and it seemed like it never stopped.

my ds12 avoided the mice as did I.....I love the show but that to me is just plain creepy. ITTBAB, I crouched down on the floor at the end. HISTA creeps me out with the mice, too.

You are there to have fun. If HISTA might cause you to be miserable, why waste your time when you could be doing something you like? :confused3

Just for the sake of information, when it looks like the mice are running out into the audience, there is a little plastic whip thing under your seat that wiggles and hits your legs. Such a silly little thing, but it's very effective! Half of the audience screams!

I would highly recommend Soarin', though! :sunny:
