Hisprincess' planning journal, March 04, 2008! SP/CG/Morocco DP

I love your planning journal so far! Your dress is beautiful!!

As for your hair, I am having the exact same issue. I have really long straight hair. I really prefer it to be down but my entire ceremony and reception are outdoors and I'm scared that it will get blown all around all night. THe hairstyles you've shown are really pretty. I think whatever you choose will be fine. Just make sure to give yourself some extra time to do your hair before the wedding just in case you do it one way then decide you need to change it! :)

Add me to the list of people who struggle with hair choices! I love the pic of the girl having her make-up done. Both of their hair is ecactly like I want. My problem is that my hair is long and THICK so I woory that it won't hold the curl!
Great planning Journal so far!!

Love everything so far! Subscribing!

Re: your hair. I like your first thought...go with the style you like down to begin with, and then have a back-up plan to maybe put it up if need be... I'm sure it is hard for all you gals with long hair. Thank goodness mine is super short...no hair worries/options for me!

And, as someone else mentioned...I've noticed in a lot of pics that the veil does sometimes cover up a lot of the hairstyle. Just food for thought I guess.

You and Adam are a gorgeous couple. Love reading everything!

I just have a minute, but I thought that I'd let everyone know. I got the mickey purse and the cake knife and server set today, and they are beautiful! They look much better in person than what I have seen in pics on here. Well, I'll hopefull get a chance to add some more stuff on here and respond to everyone tonight, I've got a busy day today, so in the meantime, everybody else have a wonderful day!

First things first....I absolutely love your dress!!! I am DEFINITELY a sucker for Mary's dresses *sigh*

I'm definitely subscribing! :thumbsup2 And as for hair, I have the SAME problem! Even with minimal humidity and shorter hair (chin length) my hair STILL won't hold curl. But like everything else in your wedding, do what you want. You can always have a backup plan!

I love all of your ideas so far! Can't wait to see morepopcorn::

That is definitely a small world, I live in Genesee close to Clio. :cool1: Sounds like we are doing a lot of the same things; let me know if you need someone nearby to vent to!

I'm in Montrose. I'll keep the vent option open, haha. Let me know if you need to too!

I almost never wear my hair up, and when I do it is in a pony tail, but due to the heat and humidity (but then we are getting married in August), I will be wearing mine up. I know my DF would rather it be down and curled with hotrollers, but I know I will melt in the heat and humidity and my hair will go flat, so I am just biting the bullet and putting it up. I decided that with a veil, it won't show as much anyway. Just my 2 cents worth.

I know how you feel. I always wear my hair down and DF likes it better that way also. I can understand your situation though. If I were you I'd probably wear it up too.

Oh my! Your dress is beautiful!!

I love the set of vases for the sand ceremony. We will probably be doing the sand ceremony since ours is outside too...

Re the hair: I guess it depends on when you're going. If your wedding was in the summer months, I'd say for sure the second hairstyle, putting it all up. But maybe it would be a bit easier to keep it down since your wedding is in March? I vote for down.. but that's just because I plan on doing mine mostly down haha... Both hairstyles you like are very pretty :goodvibes

The decision I seem to have the most issues with is flowers!! It's driving me crazy :upsidedow

Thank you! With me flowers were never an issue, I always knew I would have roses at my wedding. The sand ceremony just seems to make the most since outside doesn't it. I wouldn't want the candles blowing out in the wind!

I just love that pic too. That is basically what I want down to the T. I have to same issue, but my hair is so thin I'm afriad it wont hold a curl. My solution and advice to you is a LOT of hairspray.

Thanks so much. I think that the updo is going to be my backup plan. I used to have short hair to my shoulders and sometimes I want to chop it back off, haha, but I'd regret it. so I guess I"m stuck! Your right about the veil too, I'd tried to get as sheer of one as I could!

I am too a sucker for Mary's, obviously. I feel your hair pain also!

Well, I have decided that as for the hair, I am going to keep it down, and have the updo as a back up plan in case the sylists just dont think that they can get the down do to work. I have a friend you is a hair dresser and I'm going to call her and see if she'll help me with some practice hair styling.

I am also going to do the at home teeth whitening and fake tanning. I am pretty light so I need the tan, but don't like going to the tanning beds.

I am doing the tanning too.. I am pretty fair myself and dont want to be too white in my dress:goodvibes
I am also doing the teeth whitening and cant wait

Another tanner and teeth whitener here too! :thumbsup2 I'm going nuts thinking about the way I'll look and even called a cosmetic surgeon for a lipo consult...haha (I'll never go through with it).

I can't wait to whiten my teeth either! I just love having really white teeth. haha And I especially want them for the pics!

Alright well I'm miss indecisive over here and have found a second necklace that would look really nice with my dress because the details are very similar, but I really love the one they put on me in the store also. Here they are..

You can't see this one as good, I don't have a pic of just the necklace, but here it is....

This is my dilemma now as I have resolved the hair problem and moved on to this. I am also waiting to hear back from DFTW as I sent my contract out the begining of the week, I'm getting excited to be able to really start planning.

I havn't bought any yet, because I know how much I change my mind, so that isn't anything I have to worry about thankfully. It just seems like a lot of people have simple, plain jewelry on versus something like that. I really like that necklace, when I first saw it I did one of those ooh aww type of things. I'm just torn at the moment!:scared:

What do you all think about these?

My honest opinion. Because your dress is so pretty and ornate I would wear something more simple. This jewelry is gorgeous. But I personally think it might take away from the beading on the front of the dress. Whatever you decide. I'm sure it will be beautiful.

Thanks princessdisneybelle. Thats what I was thinking also. As pretty as that set is and as much as I do like it, I like the other as much. I also think that it could take away from the dress having the more detailed necklace and I don't want that.
