hire cars and cases

we are getting an intermediate car , there are 2 ad + 2 ch . will there be room for 4 cases in the boot or can we get 3 in and 1 on the back seat .
stupid i know but we need to know .

Depends which car you get and which company you're going through (some companies have different contracts with different auto manufacturers).

Look on the site of the company you're renting through. You can usually seed a link called "Fleet" or something similar. You can then look up an intermediate and it will show you how much luggage it can handle.

1) Probably not.
2) Intermediates usually can handle 1-lg & 2-sm suitcases.
3) They are not known for trunk space.

I would tend to think you could fit all that in though. My cars is somewhere between compact and intermediate, and I have half my life in there... I really should clean the trunk!

I wouldn't think there would be, but it does depend on the car and how large your luggage is. Maybe a nice mini-van would be better. We've put 4 adults, 2 kids, plus the luggage in a mini van before and still had room to spare.

If you are from Liverpool in UK (the boot as opposed to a trunk, is a give away!) just to clarify a mini-van is a people carrier, not some transit van!!! My sister-in-law in Milton Keynes gets very upset when I call her car a mini-van, "it's a people carrier" she replies "not a van" White Van Man worry!!

We struggle with trunk/boat space in our cars, basically small suitcases are better than the large hardcase ones, we can only get one of those in our boot (an Audi A4) but there is room around it for smaller cases. We had to have a hire car one time when our car was in the garage, all they had was a towncar...now there's luggage space!! You could probably fit Mickey Mouse in their...though I wouldn't try it!
