Hippanda

Has anyone tried the HipPanda? Looks OK, but does it work and is it comfy? We will be going in the beginning of September and there are just times when DD who will be 2 at the time wants to be carried and we will need to hold her while in lines. DH and others coming with us learned this weekend while at Hershey Park that she is "dead" weight and gets heavy. I thought if I could find a good hip carrier it may help carrying her in the lines and when she doesn't want to sit in the stroller and it's not a good time to let her walk/run.

LOVE my Hip Panda, though I must admit I haven't used it in a while (dd isn't much into being worn these days ). When I was wearing it/her though - it distributed the weight nicely around my shoulder and didn't dig.

I've been pondering what (if?) carrier to take with us . . .. She's heavy enough now (29lbs?) that I'm a bit more limited than we once were, and since we're going in the heat of September too, I'm not sure how much body-to-body contact we can take!

That's my only concern too. We're going 8/31 to 9/6 and I know it's going to be HOT HOT HOT. I want something that will help take the weight off of carrying her if and when we have to but I want something cool too.

The only other thing I could think of was a solar-veil ring sling . . ..

I'm pretty adept with RS's, and loved them when she was younger, I'm just not sure I can justify a new carrier purchase this late in the game (she's our last, so no future babies to use it with for us).

I have this carrier, I was given it when my youngerst DD was about 18 months and I just love it, it is a lot easier to use and once you child gets used to it you don't even have tot hold on to them. http://www.hippychick.com/index.cfm/children/Products.List/category_id/65/subject/hippychick_hipseat
She is now well over 40 lbs and 5 years old I just for fun I put it on and carried her around and it was still comfy (but looked funny)
