I have a Facebook page. It was pretty easy to set up. Of course I used a picture DD had in an album on her Facebook page for my profile. I haven't gotten up to figuring out how to upload a picture. Setting up your profile and finding friends is pretty easy. I've connected with some people I went to high school with and a few from my years in the Air Force.

I am not up to speed on Twitter. According to my DD it is kind of like instant messaging only to the world, not to an individual. I'll wait until I've fully adapted to Facebook to think about that one.

Twitter is just a status update site. People can "follow" you so they always get your new status messages when they click home. You can make it so your statuses are private. You can also make someone stop following you. A lot of celebrites have them, too.
