Just wondered if everyone could post an idea or top tip for anything WDW.

ie.. We were discussing the Boardwalk on another thread, and saying you could get there from MGM/Epcot by boat. This would be great for people who have just used the buses before, and didn't know about the boats!!

It could be anything, from tips on good places to eat, shop, or getting around WDW. or even just something special that sticks in your mind from a previous trip.

My tip: I heard this on a podcast! Apparently, if you want to ride EE early, there is a way to 'queue jump - legally'. If you enter AK and go straight to the Rainforest cafe store, go through to the ride and out the back, you get directly to EE, sometimes even before the lines have been dropped!! Worth a try!!!
Anyway, that's my little gem...lets here all your's!!!

Sorry, typed it a bit quick...
should read....
go through to the right of the store

Ooh, I think you may have muddled a couple of tips there, Tracey! You can skip the main AK turnstiles by entering the park via the RFC store (although it's probably only worthwhile if it's really busy). However, it's nowhere near EE, so not sure how it would help you to get on that ride early. :confused3 On what podcast did you hear it? We might be able to work out what's being suggested.

Definately go for the singles line on MS....its likely that youll only have to wait a minute or two

Hi UKDEB,
The tip came from 'Beyond Main Street', which is a video podcast! He said they were at the Rainforest Cafe Store at about 8.40am, went through it, and were about 3rd in the 'line' for EE!
It's a while since we've been to AK, and I haven't been since EE was built, so I don't know how far the store is from the ride. Lou, the guy on 'Beyond Main Street' seemed to think it was worth doing!

My tip would be to arrive early to theme parks to get rides done with little or no lines until the crowds arrive!!!

Who's next with a tip???

I read somewhere that if you are queing for a ride, the left lane always moves quicker??!!

I was going to say the same Karen but....my tip would be if visiting in the summer months take a break away from the parks at lunch-time and after a few hours relaxation, return refreshed for the evening.

or.........as I once heard someone say on the Monorail to MK, "next time we will park our car at the Grand Floridian, catch the m/rail to the park so we don't have to pay for car parking"......... cheeky monkeys! ;)

Does this tip work? Can you park at a resort for free and take the monorail in to the parks?

My tip is for those wanting to ride at the front of the ride! Whilst you cannot queue jump, cm's are more than happy for you to wait for the next 'car' (or whatever vehicle the ride operates) so that you can be at the front. EE has a dedicated line for this as does Rock 'n' rollercoaster, but you can do it on any ride. Dh and I always wait for the front seats, and it's usually only a few extra minutes. Worth it to sit on the top row or Soarin' or right at the front of EE (great views - I took a picture from the top - you can see the epcot ball and various hotels - amazing).

That would be cool to take a picture at the top of EE. Since I've never rode this ride - is it a jolty ride? Any fear of the camera flying out of your hand?

I had the camera strap around my wrist and the case ready to put it away as soon as photo was taken. Without giving anything away, there is a brief stop at the 'top' just long enough to snap a shot and shove the camera back into its case. (we have a small digital camera)

As far as jolty is concerned... you are well strapped in, but you certainly go at some speed! Great ride!

No! Resort parking is precisely that - parking for those staying at or visiting a resort.

I've seen this many times. Especially at the boardwalk and Floridian. One night we left epcot and had to go back to the car for something in the boardwalk carpark (we were staying there) and the number of people returning to their cars who had obviously just returned from the park was unreal, at the time I remember thinking what a cheek.
But I must admit we have parked several times at the Floridian, Poly and Contemporary and got the monorail or boat over to Epcot, we don't do it to save on parking though as we've always got free parking cause we always have annual passes, we just like to look around the hotels.

I can only speak for parking at the Yacht Club or Beach Club as we stay at the Beach Club Villas when we go to WDW. At the enterence to the resort there is a sign specifically saying the car park is for resort guests only and not for park visitors. We always had to show our parking pass to get through the barrier. I know my friends have driven over in the past to eat at the restaurants there. For this they were given 2 hour parking passes. During my stays there I have seen cars being towed as they had stayed beyond the time allowed on their pass.

My tip would be: Collect fast passes for the popular rides in the morning to use later when it is busier. The CM's only look at the start time on the Fast Pass and allow fast passes to be used after the end time as long as you use them the same day.

Last year when we were staying for illuminations we parked at Epcot and took the Monorail to the MK, now I am not saying that getting back to the car was any quicker, but it was quicker getting on the monorail no slow walk from the turnstiles up to the platform and we certainly got out of the carpark alot quicker than when we had stayed late at MK before it took almost an hour just to get out onto the main road, not what you want when you and the kids are tired after a long day, we would certainly do this again
