Can someone compare these for me in terms of pluses and minuses? I have read the individual threads, and it seems that Bonnet Creek is more luxurious and has a better pool while the Downtown Disney Hilton is closer to the theme parks and is more convenient to lots of restaurants? We are going with our two girls, ages 6 and 12, and would have a rental car. Much appreciated!!

Hi Rolshan - we've stayed at the DTD Hilton with 2 kiddos close to the same age as yours. We haven't stayed at the Bonnet Creek one but will be staying there in Jan. My reason for picking BC Hilton over DTD Hilton was the pool, updates, and staff. The DTD Hilton pool was freezing cold (this was in the fall), the building itself it a little outdated, and the staff were friendly but not very customer service oriented. So we figured based on those few things we'd give the BC Hilton a try since it seems to get good reviews in these areas. If you have a car - then u have the ability to get around. After day 3 at DTD Hilton our youngest's legs were pooping out and the walk across to DTD shopping was getting a bit tiresome for him.

Have a great trip! :thumbsup2

I can only speak for Bonnet creek...... This is my absolute favorite pool!!!!!! We stayed there last August and it was amazing!!!! the rooms, the location, shuttles to the parks, the food, and the Amazing pool!!!!!!

just my 2 cents...

When are you planning to go? Hilton DTD has extra magic hours that can really come in handy if you are going during a busy time of year. I've heard Bonnet Creek is amazing, but we have stayed at the Hilton DTD and it is directly across the street from the Market Place and the added bonus of getting into the parks early make it hard for us to pass up. Plus, the last time we stayed there we were upgraded to a junior suite that had a balcony with a direct view of the fireworks. (My husband is a diamond member, so we usually are upgraded.)

I do still want to try Bonnet Creek, I have heard the pool area is fantastic! Good luck with your choice.:)

A CM just told me last week that the Hilton Bonnet Creek does have EMH as well. We are staying there in Oct., and I'm really looking forward to it. We have stayed at the DTD Hilton twice. Once for 6 nights, and once last year for one night before we checked in at POR. The first time we didn't have our car, and I wasn't a fan of the bus service from there. Since you'll have a car, that shouldn't be a factor. I've heard nothing but good things about Bonnet Creek..so we cancelled our POR stay this year to stay on points for free. It just seems like much more of a resort experience versus just a hotel (at least that's what I'm hoping!) Really like onsite, but there are five of us, so I'm really looking forward to a larger than Disney room..and for us,the price can't be beat

I would bet that this is a CM being confused as opposed to a new offsite property offering EMH. The DTD property prominently displays access as a benefit:

The BC property makes no mention of it:

I could be wrong, but you could ask three CMs the same yes-or-no question and get three different answers. I would not assume you have EMH access at the BC-Hilton.

I do know that CM's can get confused, and that could be the case here; however, I specifically told her that I was aware that the DTD Hilton had EMH, but didn't know that Bonnet Creek did. She was actually the one that offered up the information when I told her where we were staying. (I was cancelling our POR..and was lamenting a little:guilty:). I realize it's a possibility that they may not; however, for us we're staying for free, so we're there regardless. Guess we'll find out. It does seem a little odd though, that one would have it and the other not.

I think I'd call the hotel directly...Actually, I'll call and post my findings. Now I'm extra curious!

Okay..just checked with the hotel and they verified that they do have EMH priveleges at the Bonnet Creek Hilton.

As a gold member, I will get complimentary continental breakfast at Bonnet Creek. Anyone ever had this here? What does theirs consist of?

Surprising, and good to know! Thanks for checking.

My husband is as well, so we got the continental breakfast when we stayed at the DTD Hilton last time. I don't know if it's the same at BC; however, at DTD it was very good. They had bagels, pastry, oatmeal, cereal, hot things like french toast and scrambled eggs (selection varied a little from day to day). They also had the usual juice, milk, coffee selections. Oh, and fresh fruit. In addition to breakfast, they also had large cookies and soft drinks in the late afternoon, early evening. Both times we stayed there I found it to be well-stocked..and the attendant always nearby to assist and clear tables. So..with all the great reviews about BC, I can't imagine that it would be anything less than that. I know it's not an exact answer..but hopefuly helps. We are planning on utilizing it every morning when we're there in Oct.

Thanks! We are planning on utilizing it for breakfast during our 6 night stay. It will definitely help cut down some of the dining costs. And luckily our girls are little enough (1 and 4) I am sure it will be more than enough to feed them too.

Wow, that is not widely known and that is going to make some people change their plans.

Ok, since we are going in November I called the Hilton Bonnet Creek and asked about EMH and they said they do not participate. I think the CMs are confused!

I have called Hilton Bonnet Creek on three seperate days and 3 different people all told me, No, they do not had EMH.
