Is it easy to gets nights over the holiday week if OKW is your home resort?

which holiday week are you referring to? the summers are pretty busy at HHI since its a beach area, however starting in Sept it starts getting less busy

I am not sure how busy it gets over say thanksgiving and christmas

We also own at OKW, but want to go to HHI every Thanksgiving. It's always been booked at 7 months (come to think of it, that's for 1 BRs-I haven't asked for 2 BRs). However, you can book on member's cash usually at 11 months, then try to switch over to points at 7 months (I say "try" since it's a different "pot" of room availability, so you may not be able to switch). That's what we always do, but I think we should be thinking "add-on"!
