We're from the UK and would love to visit HH, Charleston and Savannah in 2007. I'd like some advice on what month is the most pleasant weather-wise to visit.

We have gone two or three times in early October and it has been quite nice - maybe a bit cold for swimming in the ocean, but not too bad. I would think the last week of Sept./first week of Oct. would be ideal.

Definately go when its warm. You want to be able to swim and be out of the water wet, without being miserable. We've been in April and July. July is blazing hot, but pool/beach-side who cares. April was nice the last day we were there. I would go between May and Sept.

Part of it depends on what you want to do there. We've gone in March 3 times, and loved the weather then, that is, for biking, golf, miniature golf, nature watching. But if your main goal is to swim, you'd probably want to hold off until, like a previous poster said, May. Our next trip is in November, and I'm hoping the weather then is similar to March. Oh, heck-any type of weather means a great trip to HH for me!

We went the last week of May in 2005. The weather was perfect. Warm and great for swimming.

It was also just before the big summer crowds came in. Also, the points are lower for staying in May then they are in June. :thumbsup2
