Hilton Head wait list came through!

We had booked a 2 BR for 8/9-8/11 and then decided to get to HH early. I put my name on the list for the 2 BR and just a week out it came through! I had booked another hotel for the 8th but can now spent the extra night in the 2 BR. Never give up hope for a wait list to come through!

Yay! Have a great time. Is this your first trip to HHI? Do you have any plans (other than going to the beach, of course).

We went about 5 years ago. Since I posted, DH cannot go on the trip. The rest of the us are still planning to go. If the weather is good, the beach, sun and total relaxation is on the schedule. Any ideas of activities are always apprecited
I have also been looking into the best restaurants. Any suggestions? We are open to everything, although my DD really wants fish!

There's a fairly new little resturaunt in Wexford Village. Daphne's? They have yummy-sounding lunch specials and are getting very good reviews on trip advisor. I check Tripadvisor often (too often?) for restaurant recommendations at HHI. If you go to that place in Wexford Village, please post here how it was. We're thinking of trying it in November. Last year we also loved the Black Marlin.

Congratulations. I would have MS link your two reservations so you won't have to switch rooms and then confirm it at check in. You might need to get new keys for each reservation though.

Thanks DenLo for the advice. I checked onthe DVC member site and the added day is already part of the already exisiting reservation. I might just call MS anyway just to confirm.

welcome to HHI... I live here! first, the big news here is the Piggly wiggly grocery store just down the raod from the resort now has click and shop. just google the pig, and stor location is shelter Cove HH... just click, shop and pick it up at your leisure. the whole island loves it and The Pig seems to be popular with tourists.
Skull Creek Marina is pretty good, Santa Fe restaurant is our fav., Crazy Crab is also pretty good and then there are a couple good pubs in the Sams plaza just off 278 of Mathews dr. there is a Bi Lo, a sams, a place called street meet that's good and o'reilys also Frankie Bones is a local fav as well, If you can be more specific , maybe I can narrow it down for you.
