IMG_3848.JPG IMG_3898.JPG IMG_3913.JPG IMG_3869.JPG IMG_3926.JPG IMG_3927.JPG We just got back from our 3rd trip to Hilton Head. We had a great trip so I thought I'd do a quick trip report:
Room: We had a grand villa for me,dh,ds5,dd4,dd2 and also my husband's parents and his sister and her husband and her dd4 and ds1. We booked at 7 months no problem. The master bedroom had king bed and huge bathroom with jetted tub and separate shower. There's also a full bathroom with shower off the living room. The living room has queen size pull out couch and a chair that pulls out to a bed so 3 of the kids slept in living room. There was a pack and play provided (they actually provided two of them but our 2 year old slept in the pull out chair). There were 2 high chairs also provided. The upstairs bedrooms had 2 queens each and their own bathrooms. There was a small balcony off the master bedroom and a huge balcony off the living room with 2 tables. I did not request a view but at check in the lady told me there are only 5 grand villas and only one with water view and we got it! Room is 1822 which has beautiful water views and good location kind of in middle of resort so not far from pool.

Activities: We did the campfire which is always a hit. If you don't want to do the songs you can show up about 20 minutes after it starts and get in line for smores! We also did the tie dye shirts. They charge $16 but we brought our own shirt and they only charged $5. We also went to the ghost stories with my 5 year old but it didn't hold his attention at first but he eventually got into it. We did "goofy bingo" one night with just my 4 year old but it didn't hold her attention at all and we had to leave early. They have tons of activities all day and show movies outside at night too.

Food: all the food we had was great! There is a quick service by the pool and a quick service at the beach house Each one has a place to refill the refillable mugs which were $17. The beach house has dole whips and you can ask for rum plus both have margaritas and daiquiri drinks as well as smoothies. There are good restaurants within walking distance at shelter cove. Even though they aren't on Disney property they are very close walk and offer 10 percent off for Disney resort guests. The front desk will give you a list of discount restaurants. Also be sure and check area restaurants for early bird specials. Scott's fish market offered 20 percent off whole menu 4:30-5:30pm. Also there's a Mexican restaurant down there called San Miguel's that is good. We also drove down the road to Poseidon which is in the Kroger shopping area and it is amaaaazing - probably best dinner we had in Hilton head. Also we went to Marleys which is about 10 minute drive and it was delicious as well.

The weather in October of course is hit or miss but we lucked out with no rain and perfect temps. The only bad thing was the beach was incredibly windy. We couldn't sit an umbrella out or anything bc the wind was so strong and it was blowing sand on our legs and stinging! But overall it was an amazing trip and the points weren't too bad for a Sunday through Thursday in October. Sorry if the pics come up crazy- I'm just learning how to post them

Thanks so much for the report. And congratulations on getting Building 18-I think that building has awesome marsh views. I remember once the CMs told me of a couple (yes, just two people) who'd come to HHI in February and get a GV, just so that they could have the fireplace going all during their visit. We've also been to Poseidon, and loved it.

We LOVE HHI! Haven’t done the Grand Villa yet but as our kids are entering adulthood, I can see one in our not too distant future. Thanks for the report!
