I enjoyed the review. I was not sure how to take the last bit about the red headed step child comment. Was the author trying to say that HHI is not as good or something was wrong with HHI?

I am not upset or touchy about it. I just don't know where they are coming from. Personal I wish alot of DVCers would not like it and think it is boring. that way it won't be as crowded and I don't have to pick up pool towels off the chairs to use one because all the NY/NJ DVC'ers forget to put the towels away.

I don't think they meant either. At the end they state they want to go back.

I believe because of its remoteness from the other Disney resorts the writer believes Disney thinks of it in a different way then their other resorts, which can be both good and bad, depending on what you are looking for.

The red head refers to the color of the roofs at HH (they are red). The step child comment refers to its Disney, but its not at WDW and close to theme parks. A remote piece of Disney that many will probably never visit.

All to their loss in my opinion. Based on what I read, I am looking forward to a holiday there!!

Did not mean to offend. It was a joke and a jab at some DIS'rs that I met on my trip last April. They were from that area and we kinda sat together at the pools all week. We got into a fun conversation about the difference between the North and the South. It all started when they heard us talk. They thought it was so funny. In the mean time, they had very NY / NJ accents. You know, what we in the south would assume was a Brooklyn or a Sopprano type voice. Anyway we found out that we all post on these boards and once in a while we keep up the "fun conversation between the North and the South" by posting a few Jabs directed to each other. If some find it offensive, then I will stop this on the boards, and just PM anything I might want to joke about.
