Hilton Head questions

For those who have been to both resorts:

When the beach is a low priority (pretty to look at, but stick my toes in...NO!), which would you consider the better resort. In other words, how does the Marriot resort activities/excursions stack up against Disney's.

Thanks!

We stayed in the Westin Villas last summer with my parents. It sounded like elephants upstairs over us, the place needed refurbishing, and the resort was not on the ocean. A shuttle was there on demand to take you to the Westin. It was okay, but not as nice as Disney or Marriott.

Hope this helps.

both are nice resorts.

but I like the beach so the Marriotts wins for me.

It has lots of activities - we only participated in a couple.

they have something that I really wish DVC would look at.

If you get the Marriott sign up immediately for this - wine tasting - very, very nice - you learn alot and get some nice wines.

I also like the inside pool. the outside one(s) is nice - but for those cooler nights the inside pool is really nice!!!!

The Disney resort DOES have something like that -- it's one of Chef Gordon's Longview Cooking Club programs -- a wine and cheese pairing. It's very nice and the wines flow freely. Another one of the programs is called "Creative Beginnings", where he demonstrates one of his great lowcountry appetizers and serves it with wine.
