Does anyone know if the HHI resort has a kennel? We would like to travel with our dog, and it would be convenient if there was an onsite kennel.

there is. However, you will get more answers to this question on the DVC board as this is a DVC property. The property owners know their properties better than anyone else.

I lived in HHI and worked on site to build this property and at the time there wasn't a kennel, but it could have been added....

anyway, jump to the DVC board and ask, they'll know.

Christine - I just checked my member guide book, and there is no kennel at HH. They do recommend a place called Evergreen Pet Lodge, phone 843-681-8354.

There is a kennel near the resort that is pretty plush. The dogs have their own room and child size bed complete with comforter and pillows.

We just got back from HHI and boarded our dog at Evergreen kennels, it was great!! The kennels are pretty close to the resort and very clean and friendly. DVC members recieve a 15% discount, our dog stayed from Sunday till Friday and the cost was $62. We were able to take the dog out during the day for a couple of hours to take her to the beach, when we visit HHI again we will definitly use Everegreen. Hope this helps.
