My wife and I have some extra points, and instead of carrying them forward we're looking at HH at the end of August for about 4 days.

Any feedback would be helpful as we've never been there. What are the best rooms? What are the best things to do, see, and restaurants? (Even though we could just relax and read all the day). Also, we're not golfers and we do not have children.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

I have collected a lot of stuff and posted it on my DVC HHI site...check this out to narrow down your questions.

Enjoy it...it's a beautiful place.

We love HH.
I can't count the times I have heard people saying Wow this is such a different vacation thatn WDW we need to start doing this every year!
It is a relaxing fun place and I don't think I have ever heard of anyone who doesn't like it!

I second the RELAXING aspect of HH!!!

I was just telling a friend today that it was the most relaxing vacation I've ever had :)

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my stay there but I think people on this board hype it up much more than it really is. I would not add on there with the current pricing. But I can see going back there once every 5 - 10 years or so.

Marley-We just got back HH for the first time a couple of weeks ago. And I was saying exactly the same thing about being the most relaxing trip I have ever been on. We are even debating on adding on to HH so we can go at least every other year.

Brennen- as for what to do. If you like seafood definetly go to The Old Oystery Factory. When you show your DVC card you will get 10% off.

I took a Nature Kayak trip which I thought was the best. Also Even though the Isand is know for it's golf their is lots of things to do besides Golf. Actually I played Golf 1 day on Vacation and I told my wife next time I probably wouldn't bring my clubs because there were other things I would have like to do.

Also about every two hours during the Day the resort has activities scheduled you can try.

If you are just looking to do nothing and relax, you will not be disappointed.

HH is very relaxing. I'm a poor golfer so I don't get out much so golfing is not a "hook" for me to go to HH. Check out Tommy's web page. I've found it to be very helpful.

Hilton Head is wonderful! The resort is very very nice with lots of things to do. The beach is close by, and even if you don't golf or tennis, there is lots to do in the area! You MUST try A Private Affair with Chef Gordon - a private dinner prepared just for you & your party at the Beach House. We also did the Dolphin Discoveries Tour and a few other activities at the resort, plus horseback riding, shopping, and yes, golf on the island. If you have time, a day-trip to Savannah is fun (eat at Lady & Sons - yummy!). We also liked Old Oyster Factory on HHI, and Scott's Fish Market, and the Italian place in Shelter Cove (Little Venice?). When you check in they give you an Island Restaurant Guide with menus from almost every restaurant on the island - makes choosing a little easier!

Tommy's website is very helpful!
