What chance would I have at this point of getting a studio at Hilton Head the first week of April? After being at Disney this past Christmas, I am considering going to Hilton Head instead to avoid the crowds.

Another option would be a day or two at Verot that week, but not sure how hard those would be to come by at this point. Thanks!

I beleive it would be very difficult at this point for this April. We have been once in April and made the reservations at 7 months and had to get a 2bdroom because that was all they had. We love the resort and have been 5 other times at xmas week and twice int he summer. Summer and April vacation week is realy hard to get without 11 month points-that's why we added on there!

I don't think you're going to be able to escape the crowds-the entire state of Georgia's off that week on spring break, and guess where they're all going-yeah, Tybee, Orlando, Panama City, and Hilton Head.

You might want to consider heading north?

I don't mind crowds in general - but it seems being in a place like the DVC at Hilton Head vs. the Magic Kingdom during the busiest time would be a good idea. We normally go during the less busy times, but now it is too difficult to take my daughter out of school...

We are staying the Boardwalk for the first time; I'll just plan to try to set up a more relaxing vacation and get to the parks early.

Glad to hear you like the Hilton Head at Christmas, that was an option I was always curious about. Hopefully the main lodge has a nice open, inside area to relax similar to Wilderness Lodge, AK Lodge, and so forth (I love that)! One of my reasons for going would be to see if I like it there (for adding on), but a 2 bedroom villa is too many points for me!

Thanks for the feedback.

HHI resort at christmas is very nice. We have been there for christmas and newyears on different years. There is a fireplace in living room in the main lodge and games and a pool table in there, but it is nowhere near the size of WL or AKL. The beach is great for walking and exploring any time of year. We have had weather from 30 degrees with hats and gloves to 60+ with DS swimming in the heated pool. Lot's of shopping to do, but the pace is very slow and really vacation time for us. Golf is still very viable for the golfer in your group. Lot's of daily activites such as cel painting, goofy bingo, marsh and dolphin adventures, plenty of kids stuff. We love the restaurants and have our favorites(some are right in shelter cove and within walking distance.
Great CMs and resort accomodations-we have stayed in the main lodge in a 1 and 2 bedroom and also in bulding 29 which looks out onto the entrance to shelter cove where you can watch the kayakers and dolphins from your porch.

Sorry to be so long winded! Just love this place..We'll be there this August.
