Hilton Head Disney -- cycling???

Hello: We're going to Disney Hilton Head and I'm looking for info/maps of biking trails or just biking info on Hilton Head. We like to bike about 20-30 miles a day. Thanks

Hilton Head has many miles of bike trails and paths. The best area for biking is within Sea Pines, where the bike trails are paved and separate from roadways. Maps are usually available from the bike rental companies. The Disney Resort may have some maps.

From the Disney resort, the bike paths are generally shared with the roadways, but Palmetto Dunes does have well marked bike lanes throughout - although not as unique as Sea Pines.

Bikes can be rented at the Disney resort or from a wide selection of rental companies. There is one on the way to the Beach house next to Alexander's Restaurant. Bikes can be ridden on the beach for miles without any problem too.

With all of the private communities at HH, there are lots of quiet neighborhoods to bike thru. There are not a lot of hills, but the bike paths can get very busy, as many do use the trails.
