Hilton Head directions

We've driven to Hilton Head once, last year, and are heading down again in August. Going from NJ to Hilton Head. I'm trying to figure out what the best way is off 95 to get into Hilton Head. We arrived way after dark last time and remember a LONG two lane road right off of 95. Is there a way off 95 that is more "highway"?

From Interstate 95 North/South

• Traveling I-95, take Exit 8 - Hilton Head Island/Bluffton.
• Follow signs for Hilton Head Island and Route 278 East (William Hilton Parkway).
• Cross over the Hilton Head Island Bridge and continue straight on Route 278 East (William Hilton Parkway).
• After approximately 8 miles (10 traffic lights after bridge), turn right at Shelter Cove Harbour and follow the road straight back to the harbour.
• Veer right and follow the road across the bridge to Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort.

Thank you! Last time we got off 95 at exit 28 and did a WHOLE lot of backroads. Those directions are much better.

Exit 8 is for Hwy 278 and it's 4 - 6 lanes all the way to the resort.
