Hilton Gatwick Airport

Can anyone who has recently stayed at the Hilton Gatwick Airport advise what the rooms (family) are like? Can you see planes out of any windows? Also, does anyone have any suggestions of cheap parking around the area (maybe somewhere you park and get a free shuttle bus to airport) Thanks in advance

According to the Holiday Extras website, the Hilton Gatwick does a package deal that can include up to 15 days parking. I'd give the hotel a call and see what they can do or rebook through www.holidayextras.co.uk. I don't think you need a shuttle - there's a covered walkway to South terminal and a rapid monorail to the north.

you can also book to have your car collected from you at The Hilton and returned to the hotel when you arrive home as part of the hotel/car parking package. In november we are doing this, hotel room for three plus 15 days valet parking for £185

I'm staying at the Hilton in three weeks time and have done their 15 day parking package although we are going for three weeks. The Hilton were very helpful and gave me the telephone number of the parking company and I just paid the remaining 6 days..

We stayed in the Hilton last year, our window faced the inside atrium, no view of the planes. We had 15 days car parking inc, when we arrived at the hotel we parked up, checked in then dh left me with the luggage and took the voucher the hotel gave him to the summer special car park.
On the way home dh left me and all the bags at the pick up drop off point and went to get the car, much easier then struggling on the bus with all the bags.

Thanks for the infor everyone! A good idea I wouldnt have thought of lexie32 - staying put whilst someone else gets the car!! Ill use that one.
