SO, just found out that I can actually USE those Delta miles I've had hanging around for a year. They have a new marketplace, and I can get hotel stays for them. One option that was super cheap (7,000 miles per night, which is cheap I think) is the Hilton at DTD. (It's 30,000 plus for the Swan) I do like the location. I love DTD. But, I love the Boardwalk and Epcot. I'd never use their bus probably, unless it pulls up as we're calling for a cab. It's so close, that honestly I don't see the point in saving $15 to wait a half hour for a bus.

I did find out that their windows do not open. That is a major consideration, as my DS has very severe asthma. I am wondering, if they have balconies. And if so, I'll call about the extra charge.

Anyone have any recent stay good or bad? It's so cheap mile-wise. I could hardly believe it. Cheaper than the Marriott village, and the Doubletree also. Now, I would like the Doubletree for the space, but if it's just the 3 of us, one room is fine.

TIA!

We stayed at Hilton DTD on my husbands hotel points....and had enough for concierge. Which isn't saying much - the continental breakfast that offer in concierge was fine but, boy, was it crowded in there and hard to move around or feel relaxed. The hotel was ok - nothing great....in fact, we're staying at the Dolphin this Feb since we weren't that impressed with the Hilton. For a large hotel - it seemed to be lacking the bells and whistles. Although - there's a good breakfast buffet in the rest. downstairs (kind of expensive for breakfast, but good) and they have Starbucks accommodations there too. There's a Benihana that opens for early dinner. Pool is ok - nothing great. Our kids, and my husband, kept saying how cold it was (this was in October). The walk to DTD takes all of 7 minutes. We had our own car to drive around for food and parks, although, we did hear some gripes about he shuttle transportation to and from the Hilton/parks. Beds are fine - better then some Disney beds. The windows did not open nor did we have a balcony (we were on the 8th floor, I believe). I don't think you'd be dissappointed if your stay is super cheap or near free. But it's not as great as we had hoped for.

Stayed there Sat and Sunday night. Nothing special. Easy 5 minute walk to DTD. The buses did seem to come on the 1/2 hour. We did make it for rope drop but just barely.

In my room the lights weren't working and then when I checked most weren't plugged in and the others didn't work. When we got there the bathroom had two rolls of toilet paper that were almost gone. I didn't call for more but ended up using tissues in the morning as there were 4 females. I figured that they would replenish in the am. Yes, she put about 1/4 roll on one and none on the other. Wonder if they have full rolls. Needless to say that I won't be going back there any time soon unless it is real cheap and then I will consider it. If I didn't see the big "H" on the building I wouldn't have known that it was a Hilton.

We have stayed at Board Walk Inn and loved it. We spent one night at the Hilton DTD earlier this month and then moved to Wilderness Lodge for the remaining of our trip. We loved the Wilderness Lodge too.

We have stayed at Hilton Hotels before and they have always been nice. Our 1 night in the DTD Hilton was in a jr. suite. We were not impressed with the hotel and will not be using it again. In my opinion it needs to be torn down and rebuilt. The lobby and restaurant we had lunch in needed a good cleaning. Food on the floor around tables, just an unkept, unclean look to the whole hotel. Others on here have praised it. Perhaps we went at a bad time but we won't be staying there again.

Thanks, everyone!

Turns out we're going to Marriott's Grande Vista instead anyway. Thanks, Interval International for the getaway! Woo hoo - $450 for the whole week.
