Has anyone stayed at the Hilton at Downtown Disney recently? We are thinking of booking here for September trip. Found it for $68 on Travelzoo and was wondering if it would be nice for family with three young boys (6,5,1) specifically the pools and kids program.
Thanks!

I have stayed there and it is a nice hotel. That is a good rate.

My rooms had two queen beds and I don't know about roll aways. If you have five you might need to check into that first.

I am not sure this hotel has any special kids program. There is nothing on their web page.

This hotel is more of a "business hotel" then the Disney owned hotels.

Thanks for the info. We wanted to stay in the DD area and this seemed like the only hotel that didnt have some sort of negative reviews (other than being too business oriented). I just really need to make sure that this hotel is safe and above all else clean. Both older boys and I have allergies to mold and I was considering the Doubletree until I read the reviews here and other places concerning the mildew and cleanliness factors...
The other DD hotels I rejected for one reason or another.
HRP- no kiddie pool
Grov- too dark and reports of unclean rooms
Courtyard/Wyndham- couldnt find as good a rate
BW- good rate ($69-79) but for that I could stay at the Hilton
I thought that I read that the Hilton had a kids program similar to some of the Disney hotels? Maybe wrong. But they do get the early magic hour right?
Sorry about so much but really exicted and nervous to make this a great experience for my boys.

My room has always been clean.

The Hilton does do Early Entry (I believe it is the only DTD hotel with this benefit.)

As for mold.... this could be an issue anywhere in Florida. I did not see any, but when your humidity is 100%.....

We've stayed there twice this year with kids. Both times I've gotten it thru Priceline for $60. It does not (to my knowledge) have a kids program, or at least we never saw anything advertised for it. On our last stay we paid about $30 or so dollars extra and got an upgade to a junior suite. It had plenty of room for our family of 5. Two queen beds and one sleeper sofa. The hotel has 2 typical square pools that are side by side, a kiddie pool, and a hot tub. For the price we paid, we enjoyed it. It is in a great location - not just for Disney, but also for grocery shopping, outlet shopping, and off-site eating. Hope you have a great time!

I just got back from 4 nights at the Hilton ( $56/night thru priceline). I loved it. The location was great. It is right across the street from the Marketplace area of DD (cut thru the pool area and you are right there). It is clean, comfortable and has early entry - but I did not see anything about a Kids program.

We also just returned from a stay at WDW Hilton and I am very pickie about cleanliness and was very impressed. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. I think our room must have been recently renovated because everything looked new. We did not get a chance to use the pools but we did walk over to DTD market place for dinner at the rain forest cafe and we stayed out late at pleasure island. I would recommend staying at this Hilton.
