Hilton Diagonal Mar - distance from port

Does anyone know how far this hotel is from the Barcelona port? How much would a taxi cost?

It is quite a distance. We stayed in 2007 and the roof top pool is great. There is a large mall across the street and a subway around the corner which takes you right downtown in a few stops.The HoHo bus also has a stop across the street in front of the mall. Great way to see Barcelona. I would call the hotel and they can tell you what the cost would be. The DCL sets up check in tables in the lower level so you can check in before the cruise and breeze right onto the ship in barcelona. The taxi is a fixed price and be sure to get that price before getting in the taxi.Some get to thee ship and the driver will charge a huge fair and knowing the people will not have the time to argue. It is almost impossible to walk to the ship anyways. Nice hotel about a block from the Med. You can walk along the Med. to get to Las Ramblas but it is a few miles.

I believe that some did check in even though they chose other transportation. Now that is to say this year may be different. Check with Disney and the people were so nice behind the tables that they might let you even if it is not allowed. There are some nice places to eat down on the shoreline and we had some great seafood.
