We just returned from New York. We stayed at the Hilton and sat through a presentation of the Hilton City Club. If you like New York and plan to spend four or five days there each year, it could be a good deal. I was unable to find a discussion board like this one for the Hilton City Club. Does anyone know of a discussion board for or have experience with the Hilton City Club?

:wave2: Hello! My husband and I bought into the club in Newyork last Sept. 2004 . I wish too that they had a little more info available on line to see, especially a forum. We have traveled so far mostly in Florida, with mixed results. RCI is a little confusing but definately the best way to get the most from your points. Please, I'd love to correspond with you regarding our memberships, I think that we could be benefical to each other with our Hilton experiences as there is so little out there to see to help us plan. I love reviews for the places I am going it's a lot of fun to plan! I have been searching for so long for another New york member :goodvibes Please email me sometime. Thank You, Conor's Mom :sunny:

When I compared the cost per point for Disney and Hilton I found that the best way to spend Disney points is at Disney. The best way to stay in New York is the Hilton City Club. If you like to go to New York for four or five days each year and see a few plays, the Hilton City Club could be a good choice.

Hello Duckie Luckey, Glad you had a nice time in New York! Isn't it a treat to stay at the club, so plush and elegant! We loved our suites had a 2 bedroom the first time as we brought our infant son and step daughter with us. We did not buy the 1st presentation and paid about $400 to come back the following year for another 3 days in a one bedroom suite with just the baby. I was very unsure about buying in and it was murder to sit with the baby through the presentation and hour long sale pitch turned into 3 hours when we decided to buy. They sweetened the deal by giving us 18000 bonus points and we bought 9000 points per year for 28 years. So far it has been great we have traveled to Florida Keys and Boca raton on our points and will be staying at HGVC this December for 9 nites only 2200 points! The only problem is I'm constantly thinking and planning to go on vacation!(which is fun too!) The concierge lounge in New York is great too, Continental breakfast that you can fill up on and cocktails, sodas cookies and fruit cheese, crackers in the evenings, with everything being expensive in the city its a great supplement if not a lite meal! If you bought in welcome and if you are considering I can help answer some questions and give you some tips I have learned about reservations and such. Have a great day! Conor's Mom :wave2:

We did not buy at the first presentation. We were offered four days, anytime in the next 15 months, for $995 parking included. The 4 days can be split 2 and 2. We plan to take my son and his wife with us.

Our presentation also took 3 hours. We were promised that the second presentation would only be a few minutes. Were they telling the truth?

We ate breakfast at the “Market Place” in the Hilton. With tip, it cost $61.00. It was very good and fun, once. Not something to do every time. To our delight we found that the street vendors sell excellent gyros. Two gyros and two Cokes for $12.00. The coffee shops are also reasonable.

When going to New York be sure to order your Broadway tickets well in advance. We were able to get center seats, 5th row for Beauty and the Beast. Had a great time.

:flower: Hello DuckyLucky, Thanks for writing back. I think the second presentation all depends on you. My husband and I agreed before going that we were not going to buy and that our very cranky baby would help us out of the presentation early when he acted up, well..... We took the baby in with us and he immediately as if on cue acted up, they brought toys for him, cookies I chased him all around the room while my husband listened to the sales pitch. After about 1 hour I couldn't stand it any longer, my husband totally changed his mind and decided to buy, well I'll tell you if you are hesitant they bring out another salesperson to high pressure you and to offer you bonus points (this is good) . It took about another hour and a half to do the paperwork. We were just relieved to get out of there at that point. Seeing how its your 2nd time you already know what it is, I suggest you write down your questions and concerns to ask and have your mind made up before you go if you will buy or not and it will be a lot faster. Always great food to be had. Don't hesitate to order room service it is superb. We had the best meal we have had in New York right in our room. Also the spa was quite nice, I visited twice for massages. Good Luck have a great trip! :goodvibes Conor's Mom
