Hi there ~

We have been struggling to decide where to stay for our February trip.... onsite, Hilton by DTD or Hilton Bonnet Creek. (Hiltons due to staying with free using points.)

If we stay at Bonnet Creek Hilton, are the buses multi hotel buses? What is the average time to get to MK and Epcot? I will have a 10 month old - do I just hole him on the bus??

Where do you get dropped off?

Totally separate/odd question -- if you enter MK from the contemporary resort, do you go back out to the ticket area? Is there a separate gate?

Thanks!!

Hilton Bonnet Creek shares a bus with the Waldorf. they run regularly depending on park hours. My daughter used them last summer and had no trouble. they run all day long. The bus stops at all of the parks so the time on the bus would vary depending on which park you are going to.

The Magic Kingdom has only one entrance---the turnstiles by the Main Street RR station. If you are at the Contemporary, you would walk or take the Resort monorail to enter MK. This is quite different from the Epcot-area resorts, e.g. BC/YC, which enter Epcot through the International Gateway between the UK and France pavilions rather than the "main" entrance in Future World.

Here's the website for the HBC/WA shuttle:

The bus runs to MK every 30 minutes except at the lunch hour and dinner hour. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the TTC once it leaves the Waldorf. Some of the MK buses then go to AK before heading back to the Hilton.

The bus runs to Epcot once an hour. It also takes about 15 minutes to get to Epcot once it leaves the Waldorf. Then it heads to DHS then back to the Hilton. If memory serves, this is also the bus that goes to DTD.

They will give you a printed schedule when you check in so you can see which buses go to only one place and which go to multple ones.

About your child: you can hold him or put him in a seat (no carseats, no seatbelts). The seats are high back ones like on the Disney Magical Express buses. Your stroller goes in the luggage hold underneath the bus. You don't take it on with you. They have TV screens, and the driver may or may not ahve a Disney movie playing. Most of the time I was on it they did. I think I saw the fisrt bit of Tangled 4 or 5 times - LOL! I need to rent it to see how it ends. :D

Thanks for posting this link .... very helpful!

One tip for using the Bonnet Creek shuttle is to board at the Waldorf (a bit of a walk through the convention center) instead of at the Hilton. This will save you 15-30 min of waiting sitting on the bus waiting for the Waldorf guests to load.

As for the quality of the Hilton Bonnet Creek, it is top notch in every way. If you're using points you also likely have some HHonors status. As a Diamond the Hilton BC took exceptional care of me on two separate occasions... once on a one-night stay with an upgrade to their Presidential suite (over 2000 sq feet) and on a separate 2-night stay with an upgrade to a "parlor suite" consisting of a 2-queen standard room with an attached "parlor" room consisting or a quite large living area, pull-out sofa, 42" LCD, wet-bar, 2nd bathroom, and dining table. This setup was particularly helpful since we were able to put the kids' pack-and-plays in the parlor while still having 2 beds for me/wife and our helping-hand (wife's teenage cousin).

That may depend on the time of year. When I was there in May, we only waited a couple of minutes max for potential riders at the Waldorf. My suggestion to people staying at WA is make sure you're at the stop a few minutes before the bus is due so you don't miss it. :D

Thanks for the info. My husband is a Diamond Member as well, and so we always get upgrades if available. We ended up with the big ol' suite at the DTD Hilton for a one night stay, which was nice. We are really hoping for something on this trip at Bonnet Creek, but we will be there 5 nights, so who knows. I was curious, did they have the continental breakfast for the Hilton Honors folks at BC? I found the one at DTD to be pretty decent, and was trying to plan our meals accordingly, since we obviously won't be on DP this trip. TIA!
