Looking for info on the Hilton at DTD. Pros and Cons. We wanted to stay on Disney property for our trip, but the only available resorts are the value resorts.

We booked a 2 bedroom condo at the vistana, which we have stayed at before and is huge and beautiful, but I like the idea of staying at the Hilton due to the fact that you can still use the EMH's. The Hilton is also a bit more expensive then the Vistana. We got a 2 bedroom suite there for $130 a night that will sleep all 7 of us, and has a full kitchen and a washer and dryer etc. In order to stay at the Hilton we're gonna need a junior suite and a standard room that will run us around $300 a night.

I guess my main concerns are the transportation options. I heard that the shuttle can take a long time because it has to hit all the other DTD hotels? Would it be easier to just walk down to DTD and catch a bus from there? But do the buses run from between DTD to the theme parks early in the morning?

How close is the Hilton to DTD and PI. We like the idea of being able to drink at PI and then just walking back to the hotel. Is it close enough to walk at 2am??

Any other tips/info would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked the prices on Saratoga Springs? I'm not sure what the prices are but you could probably pickup 2 studios or a 2 bedroom w/ codes. You would still be in walking (or bus) distance to PI .

I don't know anything about the Hilton. I just wanted to pass along some info. I received in an e-mail from Hilton HHonors Worldwide, LLC.

Dear Keith:

On September 27, we sent you an email about a settlement we reached in a class action lawsuit that had been filed in the United States. The lawsuit concerns whether "resort fees" were adequately disclosed to guests at eleven hotels in the United States, listed below. In order to notify as many of those guests as possible, the court ordered us to send an email notice to all of our Hilton HHonors® members. If you have never stayed at one of the hotels listed below, please accept our apologies for the inconvenience; you may ignore both the prior notice and this email.

Hotels involved in the settlement:
Doubletree® Golf Resort, San Diego, California
Doubletree Surfcomber, Miami, Florida
Doubletree Guest Suites Walt Disney World Resort, Orlando, Florida
Embassy Suites Hotels® Deerfield Beach, Deerfield Beach, Florida
Hilton Sedona Resort & Spa (previously operated as the Doubletree Sedona), in Sedona, Arizona
Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort, Phoenix, Arizona
Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort, Phoenix, Arizona
Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort, Waikoloa, Hawaii
Hilton Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida
Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Hilton Palm Springs, Palm Springs, California

If you have previously stayed at one of the hotels listed above, you may be entitled to participate in the settlement, object to the settlement terms, or "opt out" of the settlement altogether. You can review the notice and get further details by logging on to www.hiltonresortfeesettlement.com. Please note that the deadlines to opt out of the settlement, file written objections, or file a notice of intent to appear at the final approval hearing all have been extended to November 2, 2006.

Once again, thank you.

This email is sent by Hilton HHonors Worldwide, LLC.

Yes. It's Right There. :thumbsup2 About 100 yards from the north end of DTD. One of the best places to stay within easy walking distance of the watering holes. Cheers. Look up the Hilton on Expedia and blow up the map. Print a copy so you can find your way home after the birds eat your trail of bread crumbs. :rotfl2: Or glue some Pixie Dust on your left hand to remind you "Exit PI, turn LEFT, head for the first tall white building. :rotfl:
