yes, I found it recently after it was mentioned on the DIS Budget Board. Haven't had a chance to check it out thoroughly, but its on my list of things to do.
Yes, I went to look at this site when I saw it mentioned on the Budget Board a few weeks ago. There are some interesting ideas and recipes, but some I wouldn't try though like making your own sanitary products. That was pretty odd.

Not to hijack thread, but that was a whole other conversation here a few years ago on the CB. Enlightened me to a whole new world of people out there. But I understand some have to do it due to allergies in store bought products. So glad I didn't live in the 1940's or earlier.
Unfortunately I thought kind of the same. Relied a bit too much on some (what I consider) over processed foods, a bit too high in calories for me (though smack on for some) and too much sodium.
Great ideas though, however one thing I think they miss on, is looking for buying meats in bulk. That was *the* biggest saver for me with food. I don't pay much more than $2/pound for any meat I buy.
Some of it is very good, and some of it not. I'd have to replace some of the ingredients since soy isn't very good for me (and actually is a much more common allergy than some realize)
I agree with some of the recipes ( and definately the sanitary products, no thanks!) being unreasonable but I think it gives a good base for people trying to save money on stuff.
For those that dont about it there are a couple of places that will sell food very cheaply if theyre in your area. One is www.angelfoodministries.com
It isnt just for low income people, everyone is welcome they buy in massive bulk so they get much better deals.
I really liked the Pizza page, lots of good recipes there~
I have posted links to her site before because she can really squeeze a $$$$$, but....... I have followed her links before and really had an eye opener. I live in the bible belt and have attended church my entire life and I have to say, I was really surprised by many of the ideas posted. I really expanded my world, because I really didn't know people had the strong feelings about head coverings and submitting that were posted.
I didn't see anything about head coverings or submitting either. But then I was just checking out some of her receipes and money saving tips. I will admit to being grossed out by the sanitary napkins thing though.
the links are at the top and the bottom of the page. The most eye opening was the prairie homemaker. I am not making a judgement of any kind, it was just I had no idea about modesty dressing, head covering and submitting. It was really, really something I knew nothing about until I starting reading. WOW, is all I can say about it.
