I'm not going to get into the same argument I get into with some of my relatives I'll just leave it at this: I personally called the Vital Records office in Honolulu, and their words were that the embossed seal and registrar signature are on the back of the certificate. What you have is the front of the certificate. Then I emailed my former college roommate, who was born and raised in Hawaii, and asked him what he thought. He pulled out his birth certificate and it was identical to BO's, and he corroborated that the seal and signature are on the back. After that, I spoke to one of my colleagues about why they don't just release the back. His reply, "the people that don't believe it now, will refuse to believe it no matter what we release." So long story short, if the campaign releases the back, the same people that refuse to believe it now will simply say that this could have come from any other Hawaii Birth Certificate.

I'm no longer on the payroll. I am now working as a consultant for the campaign, specifically for Latino Outreach and Obama Pride, and to a lesser extent Expats for Obama. So in short, unless we're talking about a Latin American Pride March for Obama in Kenya, I wouldn't have a clue when he plans to return to Africa.

Except my question to you was not in terms of your "job" in Obama's campaign, but in terms of someone (an average voter) who thinks he is the one that should be elected as CIC of the USA. I wasn't asking you to do anything about it - I was asking how you reconcile it. But I guess my answer is that you hope he will "get around to it" but you really can't be bothered with it because it does nto affect you directly. Is that the jist of it?

No - I just don't find it funny I guess. Those people were in need of his help - he made a bunch of promises and then walked away. Those people had (and continue to have) faith that he will do right by them. The needs that they have are very small in comparison to the needs of a nation like the US. If he was unable to even begin working on their needs - what hope do we have here?

I even sent an email to his office indicating that I would be happy to donate money to any fund that he may have set up for his family's village and have not heard anything back - not even a canned response.

Long time no post. Have been back from our 3 week vacation for at least a week but have been in the hospital. Seems that I came home from our cruise throwing up and than had 2 seisures and so they did a spinal tap and brain scan some other tests. Still not sure if the siezures are related to my epilepcy or not since I have not had but one in 25 years.

Anyway our vacations ROCKED! we had a great time and have just started to follow the DIS again and the news. Have been away from the political seen for at least a month. I really need to catch up. My memory is still not that great and not sure how long it will take to get back up to par .....but tha'ts okay....

Anyway just wanted to say I will be coming and going and have not deserted this thread

A Embossed emblem on a piece of paper shows thru on both sides. No such thing as 'embossed on back, and not embossed on the front"! That is why papers are Embossed so you can clearly see the seal on both sides.

So, anyone recall the two guys that contributed money to the Obama campaign, contributing between $24,000 - $35,000, and stated that they were from Rafah, Georgia when really they're from Palestine?

So... Obama's campaign claimed that they've returned the money to the brothers.

The brothers claim that they haven't received a single dime back from Obama.

And now there's a third brother that contributed money to Obama's campaign. (How many brothers are there?)

You know, what's funny is that the Obama campaign claimed that it was due to a "glitch" for why they didn't report the *ahem* illegal donations to the FEC. So, they didn't report it in their end of the year report BUT they also failed to report it to the direct inquiry they received from the FEC.
