Democratic Party panel members show little interest in Clinton's call to seat disputed delegates

WASHINGTON - Sorry, Sen. Clinton. Michigan and Florida can't save your campaign. Interviews with those considering how to handle the two states' banished convention delegates found little interest in the former first lady's best-case scenario

:flower3:  this is for you DISUNC cuse you look so sad :sad1: It is a bummer. Only if she had pulled out IN with a large margine what a difference that would have made. And know with Edwards (Dont care about the other SD) backing Obama that will help him reach out to the voters that he has trouble with.

I still run around the house saying...GO HILLARY GO HILLARY :cheer2: and my kids give me hugs:grouphug: I love my kids....:grouphug:

Its not only sad for Hillary, It's a sad day for America when a Major Political Party and many Americans think its totally viable to NOT COUNT votes for ANY reason.

We mad a horrible turning point is this country and NOT for the Better.:sad2:

Quite Honestly, I already left the Democrat party over this....But if they really dont count the Fl & Mi votes or make any effort for a recount (which they probably wont) I could never vote Democrat EVER AGAIN!!!!:sad2:

To me this is just Communism 101!

I just went to the Hillary web site and there is a petition to send to the DNC to count the votes and delegates....I just went it out.

I have a question for ya....how come the OS find it perfectly okay to go after Bill Clinton and all he has had to say during this campaign all the time but Michelle Obama is off limits:confused3 and of course all that Bill has had to say was horrendous but what Michelle has said is well they see nothing wrong with her comments she is okay and a great lady...

In addition the stuff that Mccain's wife has said or did is also terrible....and of course they question why she also has yet to release her tax returns....

I HATE THAT DOUBLE STANDARD that has been so obvious through this whole campaign...it just makes me sick.

I am sorry..but how is it communist to have rules and regulations that have to be abided by?? Those states broke the party rules and were punished for doing so...... to totally rescind the punishment would not be appropriate or fair to the other states who abided by the rules...

I would feel this way no matter which candidate would benefit.....

The state polititians broke the 'rules'...NOT THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE.

Thats like your neighbor commits a crime, and you are carted off to prision.

PS the "RULES" also stated that the delagates will be cut in half...not all of them. How come the DNC Rules fanatics over look those rules all the time?:confused3

The states are to blame not the voters....even if the votes were on the side of Obama those votes should count. I look at it this way....if I lived there and they did not count my vote in the primary because it was viewed as not important than IMO I would not vote in the general because if they found that my vote did not matter enough to select the Nominee than it is equally not important to elect the POTUS.

The party really messed up this time around again....and cant say that there wont be another time that the votes dont matter again. Rules are rules and that is a bad one and should never had been agreed to by anyone. Mostly the DNC. After all is this not a democracy where everyones vote counts...or is it only who the DNC finds as being part of this democracy.

What a mess!!!!!

politicians are the elected representatives and make or break the rules in the name of the people.... that is democracy...
if the people of those states are not satisfied they should campaign to change their representatives...... but we can not change the facts....

I am sure some sort of representation at the conventin will be worked out...

ITA, DISUNC. Furthermore, I always wondered why Democrats kept losing elections, and now I know. This system is terrible! Caucases are a horribly stupid way to choose a candidate. Caucases favor certain groups while making virtually impossible for others to paricipate. Also, it should be winner takes ALL! The GE works that way!

And once again, it's almost certain that the Democratic party will turn what should have been an easy victory into another loss.

This party acts like it's all about the primaries, when everything should be about the GE!!!

:sad1:

on the conservative thread they said they hered a rumor of Hillary running as or thinking of running as a an Independent...anyone hear this at all :confused3

I've heard those rumors, but I think that all they are...rumors.

Why would she do it? an independent could never win. She'd only split the vote between her an Obama, McCain would win, and she'd be blamed for it.

OTOH, if McCain win in an election without her, she can run again in four years.

Besides, in spite of everything, she's a true Democrat, so I don't see it happening.

Got Disney -- that was my post -- it was on Sean Hannity's radio show this afternoon.

I don't tread onto your threads and don't want to ruffle feathers over here but -- I just feel so compelled to say this (and I candidly admit I am no fan of either of the Clintons).

Hilary has been unmercifully and relentlessly treated unfair by the media during this primary season. As has Bill Clinton. I am no fan of either's agenda but I know that hell has frozen over because I have openly (and to my ultra-Republican family) and often defended HRC and BC over the past few weeks and throughout this primary season. I consider myself a fair person and able to see things for what they are (and I'm not saying this because of my distrust/dislike/disgust of Obama). She got the shift and, if anyone should be complaining - it should be her -- she is not. She has earned my respect & I wish she would turn Independent like Joe Lieberman. The Democrat party put the screws to the Clinton -and, I am having a hard time understanding why.

Hilary is the better democratic candidate in debates, interviews and in answering off the cuff questions. She does not need a prepared speech in order to sound intelligent and eloquent. Conservatives all agree that she did remarkably in her interview with Bill O'Reilly (not considering the fact that she actually had the cajones to face BOR face to face). HRC has earned the respect of many conservatives in this primary season.

I may be bashed, flamed, ridiculed for posting this - I just wanted to make my feelings on this matter known.

I'll now return you to your regularly scheduled programming. :)

Thanks for stopping by and you are always welcome. Don't think your friends on the conser. thread would bash you because they have said as much the same. But as mentioned before that the US is not ready for a woman as of yet to be POTUS...and Congress is not ready for a woman either....tooo many men IMO dont want a woman in power.

Obama may be Black but he is still a man and it is a mans world no matter how much us woman want to think differently. Having woman in congress are okay but to run the USOA well that's another story.

Maybe in 4 years but have no doubt that Hillary will be the first woman. IMO it is her destiny....if ya believe in that sort of thing.

Too late then. The Rules committee meets on May 31.

No flames from me. I believe all Hillary supporters have seen the way she was treated this primary. It just truly makes me sick.
I have MORE respect for Hillary then ever before because of the way she has handled herself in primary season. She is a fighter and I feel the most intelligent candidate out there.

I agree I would love to see her go Independent and say "sc**w you Democrat party" :thumbsup2

CNN is talking to Edwards and he said he does not want to be VP....so they asked him than about Hillary and he said that he can not answer that. But he sis give the impression tha the will be involved in something to do with poverty....kinda missed it.

This is for the Hillary supporters because we know how the OS and MS would answer this.....so here it goes...

Do you feel that we should keep talking to people like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad over and over trying to get him to work with us knowing darn well we cant believe one thing that comes out of his mouth.

He has one intention and one intention only and that is to wipe us off the face of this earth right after he gets Israel out of the way.

I dont think talks help with people like this. When I mean talks I mean diplomatic talks trying to get them to change there ways.

To me this is useless. The only thing with people like this is to tell them if they do this, this, and this, than we will do this this and this to stop you. We will not compromise with anything less.

I feel the same with All the other radical terrorists that want to wipe all existence of the western World off the face of the map and have no intentions of stopping till they do. I dont think we need to play nice with theses people like what Carter was trying to do. As soon as you turn your back they laugh at us and say what idiots.

So I am worried that Obama will try to make nice with these people and give them an inch closer to us. I knew that Hillary would not take any crap from them and that made me feel secure. She seems to understand who not to bargain with. Obama wants to attemp talks that might lead to make peace with people that have no intentions on making peace.

I hope he picks someone that is strong in foreign affairs. He can get buy with economics here but nervous about the latter...

And OS no need to come in and start ragging on this we know that you feel he can rule the world.:thumbsup2 and I dont mean that in a mean way. Same that we feel Hillary could.

I won't get into this, other than to say this: we can talk to them, or, eventually, we will have to fight them. There are no other choices. Bush's idiotic policies have taken away whatever balance there was in the region, and Iran is now more powerful than ever. My vote goes for talking (even if Ahmadinejad is a nutcase). But that's all I'll say on the subject (although I kinda wish it was a seperate thread, because it would be an interesting discussion) here on this thread.
