Woah that woman with her child standing up, I do believe she needs some serious therapy. :earseek:

In the last one, thank goodness the cop had her get out of the car.

:rotfl: I liked the first lady with the police man.. she reminds me of my mom!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: That other lady with the child standing up.. too funny! :rotfl:

That was funny--and that last one....woah!!!

The video broke up on me and i didn't see what she was doing before she moved her--but WOW!!!

(bet that driver was getting a ticket!).

i could go on for hours, but here are a few of my own:

several years ago we were called to a local radio shack for a gas leak,we get there and there is a fluid leak in the celing and a horrible odor in the whole store. It was'nt gas,it smelled like poop and alot of it.anyway the store manager goes on to tell us that the ac broke 3 days ago and no one had come to fix it.anyway me and my guys were convinced that a racoon or larger animal had gotten into the ac vent and died.decided to check it out.about 6 inches from the leak was a ac vent,so me being mr tough guy(or dumb)got a ladder and pop the vent off and peek in with my flash light.out of no where i am face to face with this skinny man and he says "hi man" to me.i jumped off the ladder out of being scared to death and fell to the floor spraining my ankle.turns out the man was a career criminal.climbed up on the roof 4 nights eairler and gotten stuck in the ac vent he could after 4 days up there no longer hold his bladder and bows and just let loose on himself.yuck..he was too scared to call out in fear he be arrested.i guess he thought death was better than jail.

another time,i was training a rookie.this was in the winter 2 years ago.we get a run for a carbon monoxide alarm going off in a 6 floor walk up.2 of my guys take the meters and go to the basement boiler room to check the levels.the captain waits outside for our reports and me and the rookie go to the 6 floor apt with a another co meter.we walk in and a girl around 20's opens the door.says my dad called 911 he's in his bedroom, you can go in.we walk past her and from behind us we hear a loud thump.we turn and she's out cold on the floor.i go over to her to start first aid.my co meter still reads zero,so i know its not co.the rookie runs to the window grabs his portible radio and starts screaming on the air to the dispatcher.now remember we just hustled up 6 flights of stairs.his exact radio transmission" battalion such and such emergency message central clear the air.
dispacther: go with the emergency message,
the rookie: be advised i have numorous unconscious victims at this location,i am unable to reach my crew on the radio, last know location was the basement,i too am short of breath and fell i might pass out also and i can't find my partner i believe they are all incluiding the captain are in trouble or unconscious.NOW screaming loudly into the mic to the dispatcher i think there all dead.send help forthwith.

now if the rookie even tried to raise anyone on the air we would have responded and i was 2 rooms away tending to the girl.now our dispatcher sends a message to the whole board.the whole board is the fire dispatcher, police disp., and ems dispatcher that we are all missing or in trouble.every FDNY rig in the city hears this message and guess what they don't need the dispatcher to send them to it,there going either way.one of theres are in trouble,so they think.also the nypd sends several of there rescue unit's and special units.
in the end the girl passed out from exicement and this is not uncommom for her when she gets very scared she passes out..16 ambulances would show up with another 20 in route,32 fire trucks with another 28 in route and and nypd rescue trucks 8 and 5 along with the nypd helicopter.all of fdny haz mat and special operation showed up along with fdny rescue 2 and fdny rescue 5 whos only responsible at fire scenes is to get fdny personal in trouble at scenes out of the building and every chief/captain/LT/and 2 brooklyn brough commanders were there btw there are only 2 blkyn bough commanders.is was even said that the commish was in route.all for a dead co alarm battery, and a very scared little girl.the guys still to this day do not let me live this one down.they call it the night all of brooklyn came to mrfdny and his scared rookie, and they say as a joke more units came to us that night than the sept 11 disaster.
so you see it can go both ways, sometimes some people calling 911 are clueless and sometimes the people responding to you, like the rookies are a little easily exictable and scared and tend to panic over the air to the dispatcher.

to date i have never been given another rookie to train since that night.

Well now that's not right, not your fault he overreacted. :earseek:
Did the rookie go on to become a fireman?

My brother-in-law is a firefighter in Chicago. I know exactly why that story will stick with you and the rookie for the rest of your careers ;).
