Highway in the Sky Dine-Around

I'd love to see a review for sure. On the surface it doesn't seem worth it to me without knowing what the menu/offerings are. Everything in the package can be done without the package and the restrictions that come with it. I'm a big fan of monorail hopping and ending our evening at Cali Grill for Wishes I'm just not sure what this package offers that I can't get on my own (that would justify a limited menu, limited time at each resort, etc.)

Let's say you only eat and drink what's offered in the package and don't buy anything additional...you're looking at $300 which may not seem that bad but it's too hard to tell without knowing what's included.

Knowing I can do CG for $200 and V&A for $500 (for two people), I'm not sure I can justify $300 on this package quite yet. I hope the menu blows me away.
Biggest thing is that this includes alcohol, and multiple apps, plus a cheese course. CG for us would be over $200 with an app each, cheese course, dinner, dessert, plus multiple cocktails, wine with dinner, and cordials with dessert.

Booked for next Tuesday, we'll be staying at BLT so that makes it even easier.

Well, it says it includes a "cocktail" at the Wave then "libations" at the Polynesian...but what does that mean? What does that include, rum punch, pina colada, etc? At dinner, nothing about alcohol is stated but you do get "champagne" with your cheeses afterwards. Once you get back to the Contemporary, again it's very vague by saying "an indulgent assortment of desserts, cordials and coffee". Maybe it's just me, but I am expecting your typical dessert party offerings.

Without knowing the menu and what's offered it going to be hard to make a decision (for us). Nothing in the package is unavailable to people without the package and while we love a good monorail stroll I know I can eat and drink what I want easily for $300 (for two).

I know the Parks Blog stated that there was a wine pairing with dinner at Citricos so you're looking at a minimum two drinks at the Grand Floridian. I figure $12 a drink (five drinks) plus $45 for dinner plus $10 per appetizer/cheese plate (3 options) plus dessert (minimum $10 unless you want to count this as a "dessert party" which bumps it up to at least $30 but I'll go with $10), gratuity, and valet parking included ($25) you're at a value of at least $150. Now, I'm not saying Disney is losing money, because you know they aren't. But, I don't think it's that bad of a value for all you get. Plus, there's some value in it being organized and taken care of for you if you're into that sort of thing.

How is this already fully booked?! It was just announced today, and there's already zero availability for our trip in January. Ugh.

When the first event is over and we get a review, I'll be VERY interested to how many people this is limited to. Anything over say 25 people and I think it's going to be a nightmare.

I think given the number of courses in it, it is worth it. It is basically TWO sets of appetizers with cocktails, so say $15 per app and $10 for one drink, that's $50 right there... then a main course at a signature, say $40 on average (or the low side even), so that's $90. Then a cheese course with champagne, say another $20 for cheese and $10 for champange, that's $120. And then what basically amounts to a dessert party with cordials and fireworks viewing for another $30. It is a LOT of food though, you might choose to do much less on your own. But I do think the price is fair for what you are getting (disney prices fair)

The Disney blog mentions a wine pairing with dinner too (but no app at the Wave.) The booking site mentions the app but no wine pairing:) Hopefully it is both!

for what they are charging I'm sure they are shooting for it to be a deluxe event. I am going next week, totally would have booked it if I wasn't already going with my 8 year old. He would die of boredom at this, lol.

I tried booking this this morning for our 9 day trip in January/February and all nights are booked. I am so disappointed. Maybe there will be cancellations.

Hi. Is this booked as other dining at 180 days out?
Thank you.

Hi. Is this booked as other dining at 180 days out?
Thank you.

It's only going through March right now so it can be booked up through that month. If it is extended or made permanent, I assume it would be subject to the 180 rule but since none of the reservations are 180 days out, it's hard to say.

We just booked March 21st. We are doing a trip just for this experience (we live 2.5 hours away and are DVC members). I can't wait. If anyone books that same date and wants to "meet and greet" before then, let me know. It would be nice to know people in the group before hand.
