Highs, lows and firsts.

I'm in Starbucks while kids are having their donuts and cacao. We leave for CDG around 14.40. So I decided to start the usual pre report.

We'll heartbroken I admit it's been our worst trip. Weather is bad, it's sooooo crowded and kids got very sick. It's not looking too good and I hope we'll be fine with no hospital. And what's worst DH called as he went to see a doctor due some "thing" he found and he's doing biopsy today... I do feel "great"....


So, let's start with highs, shall we?

The biggest high, top of the tops is meeting donaldduckswife, her adorable son and wonderful mother. We've spent lots of quality time together, kids had so much fun. Kids loved every minute of it and so did I.

Inventions - what can I say? Just admit how stupid I was going to Mickey's cafe... We saw 9 characters, had a superb dinner/lunch. And they did't charge me for Ignas! We are going back! More in my TR.

I bought I watch! It's a high because I am very very picky.

Meeting lots of characters.

Autograph books were just the right thing. We got lots of attention from the characters and CM.

Can't think of more. These are the biggest hights.

Now the lows.

Crowds. Oh wow, the waiting times were nuts! 70, 90 mins....

Weather. We've been spoilt on last two trips.

People in general. Pushing, smoking, rude... You know the feeling.

SL pool. I'll be writing a complaint. It was bad. Baby pool cold, dark, unpleasant to use.

Now for the things I have mixed feelings about.

SL - I liked it. Nice atmosphere, good location. If the price is good I would stay again. But I'd rather pay more and stay inHNY or pay way less and choose Cheyenne. I had higher expectations.

Dreams. Yes, it's breathtaking. But it's too late for my kids. They were cold, tired and grumpy. Watched just once, but loved every second of it.

Firsts.
We didn't do EMH one morning.

We entered the parks after 10am and we saw the crowds at the entrance. Oh my...

We never walked to hotel via village.

I think it's all for now.

Basically trip was good, but yet the worst of our three.

We did have good time and enjoyed our stay.

I am so sorry for you, nothing worse than all the expectations then children being ill - and poor weather and crowds just compounds the misery. Glad you still managed to rescue the trip with some amazing highs including Inventions.

Most of all I really hope the news from your DH's biopsy is good and hope you don't have to wait too long for the results. All the best wishes.

Hi sorry to hear that your children were ill but we came back last Thursday and my baby was ill from tues to sat being sick and last night my little boy started being sick too I am now wondering if there is s bug going round there

I'm so sorry to hear this trip didn't live up to expectations and that your boys were ill!

Also really gutted I missed the chance to meet up with you guys on the Wednesday. Had promised DD we'd watch the stunt show and wasn't until we were there that I realised it would go on past noon!

I can't believe the crowds you had! We were fairly lucky going midweek that it wasn't too crazy - but even then, it was still a lot busier than it was the same week last year!

Hope your DH's biopsy comes back ok

We went last March and it was 21C every day, and then went in June and it was cold and wet! You really can't predict the weather.

Sorry to hear your trip wasn't exactly what you hoped for.
I think we have all had trips like that I no the weather ruined our last trip to DLP, we had stomach bugs etc when we been there to its not what you want on holiday.
I hope it doesn't put you off, sure your next trip will be full of magic.
I also hate the pool in the SL it's just no good for kids at 5'3 I found it to deep.

Sitting in CDG, got 15 mins free wifi. Boys are quite good now actually. Taking them to doctors tomorrow.
I wonder why so crowded. We went in March twice now and it was so fine. This year it was almost a disaster. Maybe my expectations were to high after two great trips.
Oh, another high and good review for RStransports - polite, on time, helpfull, shared, but we were the only passengers.

Were RS Transports waiting for you in arrivals or did you have to go looking for them

They were at the exit with my name on a paper written. I called them to tell we're around 20 mins late and they said they are waiting at the very exit.

Hello, that's not good about the boys, I hope they feel better soon.
Jonah has been off nursery school yesterday and today, his ears are bothering him. And I also woke up this morning with flu must have been a bug going around dlp as someone else as suggested.

Got back from the doctors and it's not as bad as I thought it was. Got some prescriptions and kids should be fine in some time.

Slep well, got good rest. At the moment I'm uploading photos and hopefully will start a TR.

Oh dear sorry to hear about illnesses and hope kids get well soon and that your DH will be fine as well.

I agree that the wait times were very long (was there over the weekend)! And it was definitely very cold too!

You can't control the weather or other actions of other people. But still a bit of manners goes a long ways.
