Hi, just back from 4 nights at the Empire State Club. Didnt take notes and my memory is useless so no trippie this time, but thought I'd do our highs and lows:
Highs:
VIP fastpass - not sure how we'll manage without this again, especially on a French public holiday! We queued under 15 minutes for BTM when the main line was 120 minutes!! Meant that eldest ds and I could dash off and do this while dh and our youngest had a break or went on small world, and we werent away from them too long. Also the amount of rides we got on that we just wouldnt have done without the pass.
CMs in general, but particularly at the ESC, nothing was too much trouble and they were very sweet to youngest ds on his birthday.
Birthday phonecall from Mickey - ds's face was priceless - confusion, followed by a smile of recognition, then a huge grin when he was wished happy birthday by the mouse himself!! Went down better than the cake at Cafe Mickey which was great, but a bit overwhelming for him.
Casey Junior and Pays de Conte de Fees being open every day, and youngest ds deciding he was old enough to sit with his brother instead of me!
Getting to use the outdoor pool at HNY as the weather was so lovely.
Getting on early tunnel crossings in both directions, and travel in general was excellent, much better than our very snowy trip in December.
Suitehotel at the tunnel - wonderful place to stop, internet access via your tv, microwave, kettle, fridge, free films on demand and 2 single beds for the boys so they didnt fight over the duvet!
Lows:
Not really a low, but it was a bit hot for me on the Friday, hadnt packed any shorts, my own fault, and as we had checked out there was nowhere to go and chill out for a bit.
Magic Circus - it was ok, but not sure why people rave about it? Walls were peeling, door frame in bathroom was rotting, breakfast was pretty awful (scambled eggs with a skin on, bacon so overcooked it was stuck together in huge balls etc.), not a patch on HNY.
That's it, so overall it was fabulous, but that will probably be it until 2013 for us now as we've just booked Orlando for next summer!
