We are just back from the best trip ever (though I am sure we say that every year) for my 40th birthday. I will do a full trip report but here are my highs and lows.

Highs
VIP fast passes ( we had for 2 days because I and my dad are both share holders) - brilliant!
Big thunder mountain - this was my 14th trip but I had never been brave enough before. I chatted on a thread about it before and decided I would finally try it. We did it 4 times every day. My new favourite ride.
Celebrating 3 birthdays whilst there - my dads on 8th, mine 10th and my mums 11th.
CMs all brilliant.
Dreams- so beautiful. Just a shame it's on so late.
EMH and late opening - brilliant. We usually go in Jan so use to much shorter days.
Weather- we had expected rain all week. We had a tiny bit but mostly hot and sunny. Especially my birthday - special Disney magic on the weather according to my kids.
Swimming outside in HNY pool in the sun.
Blue Lagoon for my birthday dinner. Fab
All the time and money we saved that's to tips on here (share holders, birthday discounts, VIP fastpasses). Even popped on the boards whilst there to check stuff out.
Could go on and on and on.

Lows (really had to think hard for this because there weren't really any)
Toilets a bit smelly - I don't personally think it was because they weren't being cleaned because they looked ok- some were just smelly)
My son nearly getting hit by a women smacking her child very hard and repeatedly whilst waiting in Star tours queue. There seemed to be lots of children getting smacked this year - haven't noticed it before. I Just kept reminding my 2 of how fab their mum is. Lol
Not being able to do everything and eat everywhere I had wanted to. My dad is a bit picky and not very adventurous.

That's it. Will do full report this weekend.

Welcome back - sounds like a fab trip :goodvibes Bring on the tr popcorn::

Lovely to have so many high's coming through the boards lately, really glad you all had great dlp birthday's :thumbsup2

Good for you trying BTM and so great to hear it was a success, we've never made it into any of the pools but hoping we get chance with extended hours on our next trip, it seems like such a good way to break up the day.

Sounds like an incredible trip, how lucky to get 2 VIP days :cloud9:
And well done for going on BTM - even my mum loves this ride and she's scared of everything :thumbsup2 I don't see how anyone couldn't enjoy it.
Really looking forward to reading your full trip report!

Can I ask what birthday discounts there are please?

It was the free birthday park pass that Carrie Cat posted about a month ago. You can claim the park pass for 1 day in the week starting on your birthday. It also entitled you to 20% off in 3 restaurants. We used it in Plaza Gardens. I will try and find the link.

Welcome back, pleased you had a great time:goodvibes
